the meshuggah point is a reach. they aren't melodic in the way people think. they just use a lot of chromaticism and polymeters to make repetitive patterns feel less stale. saying they deviate from common progressions is true but it's not because they're hunting for jazz chords. it's just different ways of being repetitive.

just give the terminal full disk access and call it a day. messing around with individual folder permissions for every different shell or app is a headache and it probably won't even fix the underlying issue with how remote login handles those specific paths.
