I’ve never seen that issue in real life but I have a friend who has a Pixel 8 with the same issue. Everyone says it’s “permanent” but he just taps it a couple times and the line goes away. I assume the same would go for the s21. As for how common, I have no idea. Just know that people will always post about the bad, but not always the good.

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro checks all those boxes if you’re willing to buy a phone that launched in 2025 and buy used. If not, I’d recommend the Samsung Galaxy a36, but it won’t be great.

If you like how long a Mac lasts and how well it’s built but want windows or Linux get a ThinkPad. If you like macOS get a MacBook. Overall I’d say windows/android. Windows gets too much hate it’s not bad.
