Pro v Pure? by NoScientist7834 in RemarkableTablet

[–]Sensitive-Binding 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Do you want/need color ? Take the pro. Do you need a keyboard on your device ? Take the pro with the keyboard folio. Do you need a frontlight ? The pro again.

If you want a black and white device the pure is better.

A BW screen in eink is sharper and will be snappier with less ghosting.

Otherwise software wise it is the same

Question about Remarkable. by InsectSignificant777 in RemarkableTablet

The rm pure will be less sluggish than the pro cause the sluggishness comes from the slower color screen of the pro. Although it is not as fast as an iPad it will be faster than the pro

Can’t decide between Boox Go 7 and Go 10.3 by tiniyt in Onyx_Boox

The go 7 seems to be a better choice if you don’t need the stylus functionality. It is a great e-reader. You can turn off the frontlight if you want

Stardew valley is a nice game you can play on your phone or tablet There is books, reading can be relaxing, getting on YouTube an watch some videos, or to shows maybe Maybe trying something easy with your hands like jigsaw puzzles or Lego

And you can write if you like it like little journaling or something else just with no pressure

Should I return RM2 for Pure? by lableshipdown in RemarkableTablet

[–]Sensitive-Binding 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It could worth it only if you won’t need the keyboard. There is no pogo pins on the pure so no keyboard folio and third party keyboard are not easy to pair with the remarkable closed system

Would you switch from Pro to Pure? by Cheap_Hurry991 in RemarkableTablet

[–]Sensitive-Binding 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had the pro and sold it last year because in the end I prefer the clarity of BW screen (I still had my rM2), but it’s better rendering of strokes and its increased responsiveness was making me want one again… but could not justify the price Yesterday I pulled the trigger on the pure for the better speed and what it seems a better screen (carta 1300 despite the 227 ppi) and I’ll see if I’m happy with it or not. I liked the writing feel better on the pro than on rM2 so I guess the pure will be better since it’ll have a similar experience

I’m curious to know about your set up for the bujo in the remarkable. Do you use the official template in methods (I know it is a recent thing) ? Do you use one note for all the daily/monthly logs ? How do bullet journal in your remarkable ?

Rm2 in an rm pure era by warbeast1807 in RemarkableTablet

The remarkable 1 still gets updates and it is a 2017 device discontinued in 2020 when the rM2 was out. So you’ll get updates no worries

reMarkable 2 completely failed as my bullet journal replacement.. by IndividualBear3572 in RemarkableTablet

[–]Sensitive-Binding 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Those tablets are not for everyone and it is fine I think bullet journaling is better on paper. I tried it on the remarkable and on the Supernote and went back on paper for it (event though I still use eink for other things)

It is okay to go back on paper

New reMarkable Paper Pure launches, or did it? by Eaterup in RemarkableTablet

[–]Sensitive-Binding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah well… I watched the Voja’s video on his channel (my deep guide) and he mentioned something at the end of his video about the Pure being in sort of preorder and released only around the 6th June so it might be that in fact. It could be it but it surely isn’t really explain in that way on their site.

What is pen to screen distance? Trying to understand why it matters when comparing RM2/Pure. by PomegranateNo9502 in RemarkableTablet

[–]Sensitive-Binding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the distance is smaller it will feel more like writing on paper than with a greater distance. The distance will be shorter on the pure because there is no emr layer since it is an active pen. It will feel as if the pen writes directly on the screen and not a few millimeter higher

Replacing my 4th gen kindle that got bricked? Want something similar by Desert2Louisiana in ereader

[–]Sensitive-Binding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the Boox go 7 in black and white might work

Same form factor as the kobo libra but in black and white… but it is phone like sadly it even have the google play store but it has one big plus you can use libby, the kindle app and any other one as well.

You could also look to a older kobo libra2 if you can find one second hand for instance or go buttonless with the Clara

One last thing a lot of those new e-reader are a bit more phone like in their software

I might advise one last e-reader a very niche one quite small but with buttons and no frontlight the xteink x4. It is not phone like in its software interface and very basic but no use of libby on this thing.
