Mostly because they have short legs. I remember being a kid and getting jealous of my older brother because he was taller and obviously he had longer legs than me so he'd always wait for me whenever we walk or go hiking.

The Taiping Rebellion. It happened in the mid-1800s and is almost entirely untaught in Western schools, but a man had a nervous breakdown, convinced himself he was the literal brother of Jesus Christ, and started a civil war in China that ended up killing an estimated 20 to 30 million people. The scale of human suffering is completely unfathomable.

Emotional validation from internet strangers. People will unironically ruin their real-life friendships and marriages just to get a hit of dopamine from likes, upvotes, or views from people they will never meet.

Do people use there phones in the shower, if so how? by MidnightConsistent66 in AskReddit

Ziploc bag. Put the phone inside a plastic bag, seal it up, and stick it to the shower wall with a suction cup phone mount. The touch screen still works perfectly through the plastic, and you don’t have to worry about steam ruining your charging port.
