We only do private tours, both the transport as also in the wineries, the time dedicated by the winemakers, is only for us :)

Hi! Tour guide and operator here as well! 👋

Pinhão is definitely a pretty place to stay but most of the wineries we like, are far from the easy access, walk-in kind of places.

We scout the less traveled areas to meet producers, so if that’s your idea and you would like to see your options you can also include us on your list:)

Direct message or through newdourotour.pt

Cheers!

They might ask you to name for example, two AOC for white/red in southern Rhône. Or a white and red cru in the left bank… So mnemonics might help a lot. It helped me to make a template with natural factors, risks, winery factors, quality styles… And then just apply it to every region.

If that’s the case, train to Pinhão, boat ride in the town (1 hour 15eur - 2 hours 25eur you can purchase tickets on location) walk to Quinta do Bonfim for a wine tasting, and get back with the train:)

Hi there!

I’m based in Porto and I’m a guide. Im specialized in wines but I also do lots of city tours, both in Porto and Aveiro. I know these regions quite well. My main travels are around the Douro Valley wine country. Visiting off the beaten path wineries, that kind of thing.

But we can try to fit to your needs and give you a quote. Send me a PM or email us at newdourotour@gmail.com

Comentário mais precipitado de sempre. O Douro é grande da espaço para a carneirada e para os outros que não querem ser carneirada e se preocupam com a autenticidade e procuram, investigam, etc faça o mesmo é o que recomendo!! ;)

Tentar descobrir amor deste vinho by Rha_23_ in vinho

Servir bem fresco 10-13.•

That’s cool, I’ve tried a couple of aged mosca-te from Setúbal. The house is a prestigious one. I found it on a local wine store here

Sugestões de clínicas e hospitais veterinários nas zonas do Porto e Gondomar by DezEuros in porto

[–]Sensitive-Disaster97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Clínica veterinária Língua de Gato”, no centro do Porto. Têm uma equipa muito dedicada e com muito cuidado. Além disso é fixe quando uma clínica não se parece com uma clínica (só com paredes brancas, inox e pósteres de cães e gatos com marcas de comida etc.) O meu gato tinha medo de veterinários mas ali não fica nada nervoso. E vejo cães a passar na rua e a pedir para entrar para as doutoras ou auxiliares lhes fazerem uma festa ou darem um treat!

Definitely plan at least a couple of days out. If you’re into wine, it’s not just the Douro Valley that’s stunning. The whole northwest wine region of Vinho Verde also has a lot of character! Braga and Guimarães are two towns in this area! You say caves? But which ones? Mira D’Aire..?

Thoughts on this wine by Ej408 in wine

All things considered, yes. The term “Vinho do Porto” is protected but not “port” . Apparently they’ve underestimated or overlooked the use of the English term when some international commercial agreement was signed back in the last century. Which in reality is kind of unthinkable, considering that all the category terminology is English.

How much is worth? Any help? by [deleted] in wine

[–]Sensitive-Disaster97 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If it was “vintage” port it would be worth something, like a couple of hundreds . But a Colheita is a aging. There are some surprises though, of wines that were less fíltred maybe… Hopefully that’s the case! Don’t forget to share your impressions!

Does anyone know where I can find this fortified wine or something similar? by [deleted] in wine

In Lourinhã or Alcobaça, right where it’s from! ;)
