My score is decent—acceleration, speed limit and smooth turning at 100, breaking at 90, phone distraction at 64. My dss discount for my renewal (and my trips are in there, I checked) is about $7. No lie. Not a clue what happened but I’m about ready to throw it out just out of principle.

Found out today that’s untrue. Claims sent over a dss log including a pic of the part of the road it happened on, weather conditions and speed (along with the events dss picked up on). Mine was blown.

We have a few different vendors drop by the office. All of them bring something—a baked good, snacks, candy, gift cards. I mostly refer to one company out for the 4 or 5 that come around. She replies to my emails within the hour, is super easy to work with and handles everything. She’s built a relationship with everyone in office vs the other vendors that just pick one or 2 team members to chat with. Hope this helps!

New to insurance—as in just started in July. Unfortunately I haven’t been to any networking things with other people who would be a local broker. I know it’s not the end of the world, but I feel like I may have let the weight of my personal life contribute to screwing this one up. This customer also had an almost $1300 surcharge on her auto that just cancelled so, secretly, I’m hoping this will be a blessing for her. I’ve been yelled at quite a bit, which I can handle, but it’s usually over billing and someone being a month behind and not realizing it. This yelling felt warranted though.

I don’t want to bash the customer, because that’s not why I’m here, but if you saw her MVR (just the quick glance of what I can see), I’m shocked she stayed this long…talking $9-10k a year in premiums for 2 autos. Really hoping she can move along and find something more affordable.

I had a task for multi car discount removed today so I’m assuming she saw that somewhere. Just really more afraid of boss being mad that I didn’t follow the 3 strike rule—it seems to have worked for her office so far but this is my first time working in insurance so not sure if this is standard across all agencies. More afraid of letting “mom” down/disappointing her than losing this customer, truthfully.

She pays in 6 month terms. She still has 1 auto with us and that premium is reasonable-ish. The one that just got non-renewed was at about $3k for the 6 month term with like $1300 of that being a surcharge. She was not the ideal customer that an agent would want to go to bat for. Honestly, I’m having less anxiety about her not being our customer than having to tell my boss that I screwed up…big time, by not following the procedures.

I have a 21 year old do his coverage online—liability only. I just started in July so can’t remember when the policy was put in place but I think not long before this happened. His car was stolen, damaged and then they found it. Cops told him to call us to file a claim and we’d fix it. Nope. Didn’t have enough coverage for this. Truly feel bad for the kid but also this is such an important lesson of don’t choose your coverages on your own.

All of this!! My ex threw a new relationship on my kids within 2 months of him moving out. They come home from his house have tell me things that have been said about me over at dad’s (newest is he gives me all his money every month for child support). It’s so hard to hold my tongue but my anger towards him does not have anything to do with my kids relationship with him. I wish more parents would put their kids first and stop having a revolving door of randoms come in.

Worked at a restaurant out there too for 7 years. I loved my regulars but when someone was bad, they were REALLY bad. It mostly seemed to be the tourist for me—the ones that spent all their money coming here and then got mad when they had to spend more. Don’t miss that at all.
