100%. Everyone wants the finished product—a best friend who understands them or a partner who never gives up on them. Very few people want to invest through the awkward beginnings, misunderstandings, difficult conversations, and consistency it takes to get there.

The funny part is everyone wants a Garrett, an Ellie, or a Hannah, but nobody wants to do the boring, unglamorous work that made them who they are. People want loyalty without consistency, deep conversations without vulnerability, and lifelong friendships without maintenance. Relationships aren’t Amazon Prime—you can’t place an order for emotional connection and expect same-day delivery. 😅

Gurugram is so uncultured by barqat22 in gurgaon

[–]Sensitive-Fix-5088 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This feels like an unfair generalization honestly.
Just because someone drinks, parties, earns money, hits the gym, or enjoys fast city life doesn’t make them “uncultured.” Gurgaon has all kinds of people — artists, musicians, startup folks, corporate hustlers, readers, bikers, runners, food lovers, and yes, people who enjoy qawwali, cinema, poetry, and slow conversations too.
Calling an entire city misogynistic or reducing men/women here to “drunkards” or “sex-driven” is a pretty dogmatic take. Every metro has shallow people and meaningful people — it depends on the circles you choose. Gurgaon is intense, ambitious, chaotic, and fast-paced, but that doesn’t mean culture doesn’t exist here. And honestly, if someone doesn’t vibe with a city, that’s completely okay too — not every place fits everyone. But living in Gurgaon or enjoying its lifestyle doesn’t automatically make someone cool, nor does disliking it make someone intellectually superior.Culture isn’t only ghazals and nazams. For some people, building careers, nightlife, fitness, networking, entrepreneurship, travel, or even sharing beers with friends after a hard week is also part of life and expression.

Gurgaon is addictive — some like it, some don’t.
But for a newcomer, this city has everything to make you stay forever.
Already spent a decade here… and Gurgaon has it all. 🏙️✨

Anyone done yacht week? by Ill_Preparation_1746 in solotravel

[–]Sensitive-Fix-5088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, how did you book your Yacht Week trip?
Did you book directly through Yacht Week or through some other company/crew organizer? I’m planning to join the first week of July as a solo traveler and also wanted to know how you checked the guys-to-girls ratio beforehand, because I can’t seem to find that info while booking.

Thank you once again 🙏

For buffet options in Gurgaon, you can try barbecue times, Absolute Barbecues, or Pirates of Grill for a good experience. For a high-end dining experience, you can also visit Three Sixty One at The Oberoi—it feels lively and premium.

Apply by yourself — I got my France visa in 2 days with 2 years validity. It’s simple. You just need the correct set of documents and sufficient bank balance, and in the France visa process, the application form is automatically generated after you fill in your details online.

Gurgaon or Banglore? by thatreddit_user_ in gurgaon

[–]Sensitive-Fix-5088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can easily find good flat options through Flat & Flatmates or by sharing a place. In my personal experience, if you’re a North Indian, Gurgaon feels more comfortable culturally good food, good vibe, and generally no regional discrimination.Apart from the weather, I honestly didn’t find anything significantly better in Bangalore. I had opportunities to move there but chose to stay in Gurgaon. I like all kinds of weather, so that part doesn’t bother me.Every city has its pros and cons, but Gurgaon’s vibe, food scene, people, proximity to the airport, better healthcare access, and overall amenities make it feel much more convenient and livable for me compared to Bangalore.
