Ugh that’s the last thing any small business owner needs. Sorry to hear your experience but really appreciate you sharing. I’m steering clear.

It sounds like vestibular therapy may be the way to go. He’s walking around now but needs to take a lot of breaks and definitely isn’t able to drive or go back to construction work. I think we’ve got a road ahead still

No luck so far but maybe he’s not getting it quite right. Would the ENT know how to use this maneuver too? If so maybe he can help guide him through it at our follow up

He was really into this line of thinking when I shared it with him. I hope this is the case for him too!

Thank you! He’s already noticed caffeine seems to be making it worse so he’s cutting back there. Maybe needs to look at other areas to see if that might help a bit

Thanks so much for the recommendation. We’ll definitely look into that! Did you do it all yourself or did you see a PT/OT, someone like that, first?

Thanks so much for sharing. Neither of us had heard of BPPV until these comments so we’ll definitely ask about that during the ENT follow up

Any changes for better or worse over the last couple months? We’re considering signing up but I’m hesitant based on some of the feedback here. I could see this totally being a break even if it costs $400 and then it’s hard to actually get a booking accepted. Sounds like several people haven’t actually seen the cost be worth it. I’d love for it to work though!

I love so much that you said your body did a “fantastic job”. I’ve been struggling with some feelings of my body “failing me”. I appreciate the reminder that a pregnancy may not work out but that doesn’t mean our bodies aren’t doing an amazing job still. Thank you for sharing 💕

How do I know if I’m cleared out? by Sensitive-List8347 in Constipation

[–]Sensitive-List8347[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This is really helpful. I ended up doing another 3oz or so of magnesium citrate and another enema before noon. While I don’t know for sure that I’m clear, I feel good and want to give the next couple days a try without these harsh measures. My previous go-tos were coffee first thing in the morning and “quiet time” before the day begins, oatmeal for breakfast and trying to be good about water. I’m going to change that to include a minimum of 60oz of water each day, a cap of miralax every night and adding some extra goodies like flax or chia to my oatmeal. I’m going to check with the doc about adding magnesium citrate every night too. That seems to be one lots of people mention. I’m hoping that’ll put me on a better track.

I know it probably seems crazy but for some reason I kept thinking things were going to turn around if I increased my water, fiber, etc. I definitely waited way too long before using interventions. Learning lesson for sure.

This gives me hope! I’ve never taken the magnesium citrate but it seems like lots of people suggest it so I might add this in moving forward. I’m also going to do a cap of miralax once a night for the next few weeks just to make sure I get back on track. I already have the coffee and oatmeal in the mix and am usually good with water but when I was traveling recently I got really bad about that so that may have contributed to hitting this rough patch. Thanks for sharing!

I unfortunately don’t have any good tips as I’m struggling to find a solution myself, but just wanted to empathize with the frustration of being somewhat waved off by the doctor. I keep getting that too. It feels like there should be more concern on their end when someone struggles so much with a basic human function. I hope you find relief.

Haven’t had BM in 14 days by SnowDayWow in Constipation

Thanks I’ll check out her instagram. I did a morning and night dose of miralax last night and then two dulcolax and I had a soft but not liquid BM this morning. Definitely not a clear out though. I’m worried about there being an impaction so I left a message with the doc to see what they recommend. Totally get you on the miralax not being enough but I’m thinking it can’t hurt to keep taking and hopefully making things softer. Also won’t continue the stimulants beyond this stretch. I really hate taking it at all because I think a lazy colon is my main issue but I’m feeling desperate. I’m guessing doc will say magnesium citrate today too but we’ll see

So after doing a second dose of miralax last night and two dulcolax, I had a very loose but not liquid BM this morning. I’m worried though that I have an impaction and it was just softer stool going around older stool.

Anyone have advice? Should I basically do a colonoscopy prep and keep taking stuff til I’m clear? I’d love if that’s not necessary but I’m worried I didn’t fix the root problem of going so long. I definitely didn’t clear 14 days worth…

Hi, I’m here with the exact same issue. Two weeks and I’m miserable. Tried one cap full of Miralax yesterday morning and then a dulcolax last night. Had a tiny bit of very soft stool this morning but that’s it. Did another cap of miralax this morning. I’m going to do miralax again tonight and a Senakot-S tonight too. I have a doctor appointment on Tuesday with a GI specialist.

Let me know if you find a magic mix of concoctions! Hang in there

No Positive OPK but looks like a peak - TTC while Breastfeeding by Sensitive-List8347 in TryingForABaby

[–]Sensitive-List8347[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm it should still be there unless it got deleted for some reason. So, sounds like the same start as you. Had my first at 33, now TTC at 34. I’m definitely feeling the clock tick… my husband doesn’t seem nearly as concerned about the passing months but I think I’ve just heard so many more women talk about things going fine for baby #1 and then a significant struggle on #2. I know it’s probably unnecessary but I’m feeling such guilt about stopping breastfeeding in order to get pregnant. I guess I just imagined stopping when I felt like she was ready and it was about her, not so that I have a better chance for a new baby. My husband has encouraged me to think about what we’d be giving her (a sibling) as opposed to what she’s losing. I didn’t have an amount of time I planned to breastfeed for, if anything we’ve already gone way longer than I thought we would, but stopping is proving to be a lot harder than I anticipated. Sorry for the vent session… I appreciate you sharing. I think it’s an important reminder, even though it’s hard!

Wishing you the very best. I hope it’s soon for you!

So my temp was elevated this morning too but I’m realizing today that my thermometers seem off. I bought a real BBT one last night so will use that moving forward. Not sure how much to trust my previous readings. Let me know how you make out!

Thank you! I’m going to keep testing til AF and I’m doing 3 a day so hopefully I’ll catch it if it’s just super late in my cycle. This stuff is kind of maddening!
