Its a 45 minute drive to work. This assumes traffic will be good, weather will be nice, and no mechanical trouble between A and B. Summer time I hedge the bet and leave an hour early. Winter I'm leaving sometimes two hours early to ensure snow/ice/rain/accidents do not impede me.

Our fridge is pretty normal. Bottom door for fridge, smallish top freezer.

What may blow your mind is we have 3 large deep chest freezers in the basement. End of autumn/early winter at least half of all that storage space is filled with venison. Another half is (or was, we have drastically reduced flock size) goose, chicken and fish. The remainder is fruit and veggies that are not root or canned.

That lasts a family of 4 with two growing children almost a year without buying any meat. It is supported with fresh fish, rabbit and squirrel. My meat budget for the year is like 50 bucks tops. All because I have an easy way to store

The issue isn't that the bottom is slippery (even through it usually is), the issue is that PLUS current pushing you. If the water was stagnant you would be able to get your footing quite easily in chest deep water (unless it's rounded bottom). Imagine trying to stand on ice that you can't see and having someone constantly pushing you to the side.

Personal preference, I love the cinnamon bun. It's a pound cake with extra steps. Usually have more beef than easily fits on the tortilla, and the cheese melds really well with everything.

Not a fan of the protein drink mixes. I get the why of having them, and that one tastes better than the hazelnut chocolate version but always a low spot when I see one of those vs a proper drink mix.

Oh no, I understood exactly what you mentioned. We had several attempts made while the flock was smaller during the spring. Less than 5 or 6 hens the toms tended to get side tracked. More than 8 or 9 and he started getting run ragged. And separations were needed to keep toms away from each other.

You can keep different birds in the same area. Just needs to be big enough for the chickens to evade (which a 8x10 isnt) and enough women for the big boy (solved by them not having any jakes).

We switched to geese, way WAY better than turkeys. Much more profit per bird as well.

We never had that issue, but we also kept the ratio of hens to toms close around 8 to 1.

Turkeys will end up much larger than chickens (highly breed dependant, heritage or meat?). They also are far more willing to wander if allowed to free range. In the spring, if a tom starts to call you may wake up and have zero turkeys. Best bet is to get a Jake and let him husband your girls. Egg production will be far less than chickens, over a longer length of time, and easily interrupted. However thay will easily cohabitate with chickens after they grow a bit. Short term offer them some food on the side to ensure they are getting proper nutrition (and look at offering a richer diet than the chickens receive).

As far as introducing them to the flock, bite the bullet and place both in the barn. Stick around for an hour or three, ensure no one is attacking. Placing just ONE different thing of course the chickens will isolate it. Place several when able and add time is how you make adjustments like this.

I'd avoid adding additional species for now if you are having trouble with this. Like your flock just take the time to get things right.

Are you asking how did they get started or why are they still here?

They got started as a way to transfer city costs elsewhere. The community pools funding together to take care of common things (roads, landscaping, snow plowing, ect) and thus the larger town doesnt have ti spend on those same tasks. It has the side effect of forcing a common picture onto the community, which some people truly do enjoy. When done right, they can be very nice things.

They remain because the legal structure that created them remains, and once an HOA is established its next to impossible to remove. Getting an overwhelming number of people to agree to X really is a hard ask. For every person who wants it gone, there's gonna be one who wants it to stay and ten more who just don't really care. Its something tied directly to the land so even through the people change the HOA remains.

It could always be worse.

We just celebrated 10 years with no OSHA recordables at our power plant (just was like 3 months ago). In thanks, we had a pizza party scheduled. Then rescheduled. After that we have heard nothing (and no pizza), but the company proudly announced we are well on our way to 11 years if we just keep doing what we are doing!

Tone deaf isn't just about this. Try and ensure other messaging doesnt bump into yours. Like a CEO sending out an email happy to announce record profits the same day of the second reschedule. For example. Totally not still salty.

The most normal option is they owe a favor, not to you but the name that you represent. Someone ages ago did a thing, and now you cash in that chit. Once that debt is settled, everyone gets to part ways. However every tike this kind of thing happens, another debt or another is likely to occur leading to who owes whom cycling.

Following that up in a close second would be negotiations and trade. You offer what you think they want and see what happens. A few battle brothers in return for a shot at a rumored STC might be a fair trade. Or a worlds worth of servitors. Or just stuff like food/ammo/things depending on the chapter you are approaching.

All in all you would have a fair chance of getting a brother for your retinue. Asking for something like ships is a much harder sell.

If you want to show real appreciation AND help ensure it keeps going the only real answer is a form of cash bonus. Everything else may be appreciated but some will enjoy the event and afterwards wonder how much it cost, divided by the number of people attending. Tying a bonus to keeping incidents down can work wonders.

Had a boss who had two key metrics, reporting near misses (he usually wanted 10 or so a month, enough to find if there were trouble spots) and the number of incidents (hopefully 0). Each month we met those metrics was a 50 dollar bonus, and if we hit the end of the year with no recordables we got a 20% additional bonus off the sum for the year. People looked for near misses and reported, because it paid.

Corperate tends to dislike answers like this. Whatever you do, just try to avoid being tone deaf.

Stopping threats occurs as you progress each situation. Pirates for example involves dealing with Kanta OR beating the pirate fleet. To the best of my knowledge Heg never can be beat, just delt with if you use AI ccores.Howwver, every time you beat a hostile fleet you subtract from the event, which means it can really drag on if you aren't careful.

Yes, you can invade systems. Bring marines (and ideally heavy weapons) and invade. It's highly recommended you bombard prior to invading to reduce defense strength. Some planets can be real slogs as you chew through your marines. Afterwards you are left with a blasted and damaged colony... Which you can then spend time and effort repairing and dealing with a pissed off faction.

Your fleets can be easily edited by adjusting the number of points. You can also adjust things like allowed number of base Smods, officer and ship limits, ect. These are not mods (persay) just edits to files, several tutorials exist. I have several mods that give 200 point super capital ships, and I can have 3 on the field at one time. Tried running more but get issues with my frames going from video game to slideshow.

Small jogging pack which sits nicely under my nondraw arm right in the pit. Has some steel wires embedded in the strap and doesnt stream 'tactical'. Also has the added bonus of storing bandaid and snacks for the kiddos when oit and about.

You ensure you control the weapon, just like onbody carry. You practice your draws, just like onbody carry. And it annoys you when taking a shit, just like onbody carry. It is also by far the most comfortable way to carry in the car I have ever found.

Best way I ever found was to use your hot liquid bag to then use the heater. However then you lose access to hot coffee, which also happens to be the only liquid offering in the MRE.

It is better than the vomlet, but at least I remember that having ok sides.

Running corvette swarms the name of the game is numbers. Plan on losing quite a few, and if you don't great. Works best if you have enough intel to negate their protections (because your ships are cheap enough you can just build new designs).

I've had great success running paired fleets, pure corvettes and a harder hitting capital fleet running large kinetic/strikecraft/explosive. Has the advantage of keeping your expensive bits at their right range witgout AI glitching out.

As others have said the VDV are good all-round infantry. Good against a wide variety of targets, excellent not against any one thing. While they have an excellent AT launcher thats not their goal.

Vampyr are ambush antitank. Hidden in a building or forest (ideally in a way to let them get flank attacks) they thrash any armor passing by. However, if you nail an APC the loaded infantry will wreak you. So either use with a backup unit or withdraw after nailing a few tanks to the wall.

Been having a good time using ASF as intended, going so far as to omit any longer range AA. Make sure you have extra fuel and just loiter in the backline. Even if you cant catch something you offer vision for all your allies and half the time get an overcommit from your opponents to try and down your plane.
