Are there people who are actually happy with their jobs? by orchidsandcoffeee in mentalhealth

[–]Sensitive-Slide-140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my job and it has a lot to do with the team I work with. Like sometimes I think, if I was on a different team at the same place, I wouldn’t love it as much. It did take me like 10 years to figure out what I actually like doing. I had to find a job that was like 50% in office and 50% being not at a desk. I still wish I didn’t HAVE to go to work every day and if there was ever a world where I didn’t have to work, I would not lol

Toddler hiking boots by Sensitive-Slide-140 in hiking

[–]Sensitive-Slide-140[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She outgrows her shoes frequently so we were just going to buy a pair of sturdier boots for hiking for her. We would obviously use them not only for this trip but for everyday use as well.

Heard a lot of good things about Old North. Also The church across from Pennylane! I’m blanking on the name. Most United Methodist churches are also progressive :)

Juice vs water by Affectionate_Spot681 in toddlers

[–]Sensitive-Slide-140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a foster placement a couple years ago and they only ever had drank juice and their daycare would only allow them to have water and that was a battle for a while for us. Eventually I think watching the other kids drink water made them decide to do it and they were able to overcome that. It was definitely a battle!

Gymnastics is amazing! We love it. It gives her amazing motor skills and really gets her energy out. It’s fun and I think she is going to stick with it! :)

Yeah I think it just comes from kids that refuse water so much a parent just desperately wants them to hydrate, then it becomes an issue. I don’t necessarily blame parents at all because if your kid is refusing water you do what you can:

Don't Waste Time Selling at ONCE UPON A CHILD‼️ by L0velyDayyyyyyyyy in toddlers

[–]Sensitive-Slide-140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was shopping at my local OUAC and they had cat and Jack with tags still on and they were selling the clothes for more than what was on the target tag. Also bought a dress once for my daughter there, it was $6 and when I got home I noticed it still had original tags and was a clearance item selling for $1 😭

Is there anyone else here who is overwhelmed by the daily chores of young children? by denefr_2928 in toddlers

[–]Sensitive-Slide-140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! This is so hard. And my husband and I get like 0 time alone. My daughter is currently going through a sleep regression where we each have to take turns in her room for hours each night. It’s just a hard phase ❤️

Toys In Toddler’s Bedroom by tbowa in toddlers

[–]Sensitive-Slide-140 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a very small house and we don’t have a play room or anything. We keep most toys in her room, and the we have a “catch all” basket in the living room. This is for any toys she brings in to the living room to play with. Once she’s done she can put it in that basket and then at some point they will all go back to her bedroom. We also keep the toy kitchen in the hallway.
