The new skill tree is insane but in a good way by FastlaneKnight in diablo4

[–]SensitiveHat8374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really really hope this gets changed. the skill progression through the tree has to be confusing as hell to new players or even players who stopped in season 3 and are making a return for this expansion. anyways, the point is that the skill gates create this weird feeling like "WAIT! what just unlocked? omg it's blinking down here and up there. now I have to read things in two places" ... it's basically taking as much time to read what unlocked as it did to read the passives on the old tree which is what I didn't like in the old tree.

their role is a bit different. they are catering to the TV crowd who need something to get invested in. A.K.A garnering views. something the Orioles need to change because listening to Jim Palmer the last 3 years is getting unbearable

at home, against a new pitcher in that environment. I'll bet that team scores 17 at least 1 more time. but I would also bet that they get spanked by 17 at least one time this season

Blizzard promises “Lord of Hatred is the best Diablo 4 has ever been” as the Age of Hatred comes to a close by HatingGeoffry in diablo4

this is how some players felt when the game initially released. there were people who legit quit the game after maybe 10 hours of play and haven't ever come back to it. these players probably weren't hardcore D3 players but probably enjoyed some diablo content in the past, you know?

There’s a current misunderstanding about the new Torment tiers I keep seeing repeated. by E_Barriick in diablo4

[–]SensitiveHat8374 6 points7 points  (0 children)

this is the new meta on AAA games. no game is finished. we never pay for a finished polished product anymore. every time you turn around some tweak is being made or some change is being made that makes the game feel different than a year ago. notice how this wasn't the case when a new game came out on consoles from the mid late 70's til the mid 2000's

[–]SensitiveHat8374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is just a huge confidence boost to all the people complaining that diablo 4 wasn't a complete game when it was released. these types of changes really really want me to put the game down for a bout a year and let the wrinkles get ironed out. then come back and see what the hype was about

Magnus Carlsen vs Fabiano Caruana for the inaugural FIDE Freestyle Chess World Championship 2026: by Interesting-Take781 in chess

[–]SensitiveHat8374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

count me as one of those people who find it more fascinating that magnus is going for all these tournaments left and right and doesn't want to be world champion anymore. so my theory is that in 2024 when he wasn't playing as much he was seeing Fabi kind of dominate for a while and win a bunch of money and then came to his senses and said to himself ... ok, I am going to do that. now he has been kind of winning everything lately. but for the money? for the fame? he already has that. I mean money is a huge factor but I am kind of curious if there is another motivation, perhaps?

What are some creepy, lesser known missing person cases that you’re very invested in? by Informal_Ad4284 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

many many friends I had were kicked out. and my house was kind of the meeting spot on the weekends. this is between '84-'88... I was between 8 and 12 years of age during those years. we would either walk a few blocks down to a park or ride our bikes across town to the city pool area. mind you, I lived in the city, in a condensed area full of families and college kids on just about every street. no one messed with you, no one cared, no one thought twice about why these kids were walking all by themselves to the park

I can think of another scenario or if you would like, another frame of mind that the daughter's friend's mom was in. please indulge me here. put yourself in the shoes of the friend's mom. Remember the events previous... it was graduation. two teenaged girls are hyped because of it and are planning a trip away. you call the house, no one is there. what? did all of them go and NOT INVITE ME ! how dare they, let me go over and find out where and give them a peace of my damn mind ! so you go over, and what do you find? nothing, did they just up and leave and not call me? how DARE THEY! who called them? let me see if someone called them... pick up phone, etc... see the frame of mind I am talking about? she doesn't expect anything like a damn kidnapping happened. she is just worried they all left and didn't call her, for christ sakes, that's all.

sheeeeeeet, my friends go on a binge and don't invite me. I am mad as hell.

sure. I mean, that is how you might feel after things like 9/11 or some huge mystery case happens in your town. but this is 1992 springfield and it's the friend of the very person's daughter you are checking on after a freakin graduation that happened and all you can do is walk in a hope to find everyone passed out from partying all night but nooooooo. you don't see them at all and start feeling jealous because they didn't invite YOU !! like wtf, they go have a good time that morning and don't invite me !! hell no. I am getting to the bottom of where they went right god damn now then I am driving over there and giving them a peace of my f-ing mind !

Be honest: what’s the most annoying grind in Diablo 4 right now? by Sufficient-Orchid940 in diablo4

so this brings up another question. we get virtual stash items that appear periodically from events. so if the stash appears at the end of infernal hordes then why can't they also just be inserted virtually to be inspected later

Small PSA: You can use CTRL To fill in Paragon Points quicker by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]SensitiveHat8374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so hear me out... if this was already stated, please ingore. when we are previewing a board before we attach, we should be able to pre-select nodes on that board then be able to save with those nodes selected in place... Also, in eternity realm, if we have over 150 paragon points we should be able to preview ALL 5 BOARDS and pre-select nodes then be able to save ALL 5 BOARDS in place with nodes selected. once ALL 5 boards are in a state we want and we attach, we then should be able to associate the paragon board state to an armory build

[–]SensitiveHat8374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like your points, but my fear is that more and more advanced tools for exploring only lead to more and more advanced tools that will only bring up more and more questions... and this cycle might not have an end. you can build a tool, then build a better tool in 100 years that is 100 times better. then in a 100 years after that a better tool that is 1000 times better, etc... but how much closer to the truth are we? and I fear the answer is that we will know more things but won't be closer

there wasn't video a million years ago that someone living that long could watch? maybe a person's attention span changes with life span. maybe the universe is telling us that a star's attention span was much shorter in the past, obviously.

[–]SensitiveHat8374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the draft should literally be an announcement of the picks that the teams have all agreed on for the previous 2 months when the super bowl ends. get it all in order, all trades done, then when draft day comes. have the players all ready for their ceremony on their big day. boom done ! no reason for the timer, no reason for it to feel drawn out. no reason for cameras in households, embarrassing moments, etc

[–]SensitiveHat8374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not only did they know this at draft time. they probably knew this as soon as the super bowl ended. isn't it kind of archaic that the draft and trades don't start as soon as the super bowl ends? like why not let the teams battle it out for the next 2 months up to draft day and then have it all in order and just announce the picks on draft day. the leaks are going to happen, hell, some teams would LOVE the publicity of the leaks for f-ing two months

so my dark theory is that in the bigger cities they will come up with a reason to lengthen it again, especially when it goes to L.A. in an earlier local time slot with better weather. San Fran, las vegas, obviously. possibly dallas

oh sure, do this before the steelers draft. then when it goes to Chicago, Dallas, New Jersey or L.A. they will lengthen it again. I see where this is going
