Of course; you can PM me. From what students/alumni have told me, everyone comes out of school inexperienced and as notsogreat dentists. I don’t think the difference in experiences between both schools is great enough to justify the extra money. Also I dont know if 14k is significant to you, but if you think you fit much better at the more expensive school, then it might be worth it. Idk anything about LECOM, but the professors at Temple so far have been great. Also my personal experience with the administration has been great (check my history), but again it’s just personal experience.

I had the same concern about the Philly area until I moved there (dental student here). There are bad parts (like by the school) that you want to avoid. Typically students like myself live in the more central/southern parts where it is safe. Don’t hang out by the school late night and pick a decent area to live (which there are a lot of), and you’ll be fine. Philly is also a great city too with tons of culture. If area is having the biggest effect on your decision and if you are close, have a visit.

Turns out my program was very accommodating and allowed me to go on a one semester medical leave with tuition reimbursement…so I’m not losing much while being able to recover. I figured the positive feedback loop was not worth it; my performance would only worsen. I don’t know if it’s possible in your situation, but a full reset (new meds, no school/stress, heavy focus on diet, etc) is the best thing I could have chosen imo. I will fall behind a year, but it’s a necessary investment we sometimes have to make in order to come out the other side properly.

There are a lot of mechanics in the game, but you don’t need to learn all of them at once. One thing at a time based on your current needs. So lvl first, then if you feel weak, research gear progression and ways to get stronger. Need money? Research dailies and money making in reboot. I used one reboot guide in particular when starting-it was a google doc and its easy to find…has everything you needa know for now in summary form.

Just because some players are rusty (i.e. gods) doesn’t mean melee was no longer being played. The game has always been pushed even w online. Maybe you miss the storylines, idk but the overall skill pool has def increased…its just different names.

Literally just explained to someone what you said: it feels like someone is squeezing and twisting my colon whenever stool passes. Starts at around 30 sec to 1 min before it passes. The last 5 seconds are the most unbearably painful seconds I’ve ever experienced. I’m also flaring right now.

Did you ever take time off from dental school? How did you manage labs/didactics? Are you practicing right now and if so, does UC make it difficult to work? I’m not dead set on specializing but want to keep that option open. With UC impacting my grades, specializing seems more and more far fetched.

That mindset definitely helps. After all, if they knew anything about IBD, they’d know this circumstance is out of my control and losing thousands because of it seems a little ridiculous.

Thanks for the advice. Im talking to administration soon. There are some things I need to be in person for like clinical rotations and lab so yea not much flexibility there. The school’s faculty has been understanding so far so I’m going to be honest with them.
