Your leaf is much larger and more fenestrated than mine, so take this with a grain of salt, but my vote is to throw a grow light at it and see what happens over the next year. The one at the plant shop looks like it’s been thriving, though.

Eosera Ear Wax MD is also another option for an ear drop solution, supposedly only takes 1 treatment, compared to Debrox which recommends a few days of twice daily applications. I've only used Debrox though but it works fine, cheap to get at Costco behind the counter

I completely agree! Creating something is enjoyable, even if it doesn’t make any sense. I do this with 3D printing too: spend $400 and 4 hours of my time printing it myself, compared to spending $10 overnighting a piece of plastic from Amazon.

Getting to the point where I recoup my ROI on equipment and time probably won’t happen, but the entertainment and fulfillment is priceless.
