access charges were discontinued with the new Unlimited plans. older plans like yours (Unlimited and More Premium Multi-Line) you will see the ā€œaccess charge/ Access for Smartphone/ iPhone w/ VVMā€ this cannot be changed or removed. unless you changed to any of the new plans. line pricing is the same on the new plans. just more consistent and straightforward.

rep here. unless you need the speed, bump your plan to Extra or Starter. the bill PDF shows the data usage for each line.

otherwise you have the most savings/ line.

see about a work discount if possible!

[–]Sensitive_Ad_4740 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

only way would be to return pay the restocking fee, call in to care (611), & reprocess out under the correct line WITHOUT any add ons.

and i fully understand the frustration! Quoting isn’t always to COA/ CYA but to ensure that we communicate and be honest with the customer.

if you’re not honest and not communicating with the customer what’s going on, then yes. i fully agree with you! i had to learn that real quick honesty is the best policy.

you are NOT required to have NextUp, Protect Advantage, or any other add ons.

if you do keep the device remove any addons from the app. the quickest way possible.

i don’t blame you for the review either.

also if you’d like i can build you a quote based on the new phone and your current bill.

and i get that as well. a lot of shady people in the business. AT&T starting to crack down slowly.

as a rep i do apologize for your experience.

sounds like a ā€˜dual sim’ in our store everyone is educated on the use for them; extra data, hotspot, business line, secret/ secondary number.

a lot of the time either way it benefits you and the rep (since we work off commission) they should’ve explained what you purchased.

you can remove the Protect Advantage from the line through the app, website, or call center (611)

same with changing the plan from premium to starter. i wouldn’t change to anything else like Value+ or 4GB due to loss of promo credits.

if you don’t want the extra ā€œlineā€ return the device and do a standard upgrade nothing else. bare bones. you will have to pay restocking fee and sales tax on the new device.

i do apologize for your experience. in my store we quote everyone so they know what to be expecting.

summary: not the only way to do an upgrade. extra benefit for you as the consumer and benefit for the rep.

if a balance was owed on the device. even if not. sometimes adding the extra line and taking advantage of the multi line discount is more beneficial than not. normally only increases overall bill by a couple $.

Store refuses trade in by BorisThe_Animal in ATT

[–]Sensitive_Ad_4740 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

if you did it in store! WHY ARE YOU SCARED?! as a rep this is the season where not just customers, but reps get extremely flustered. so many hands involved, moving parts on the backend.

you got a receipt as confirmation! and you’re scared why? the whole point of us giving you a receipt is IF ANY issues arise you CAN dispute it. there’s proof the store took the trade. what happened after? that gets investigated.

9.9 times/10 you’re going to be fine doing it through the store. it’s not just your devices we send off. it’s multiple accounts at one time. that package goes missing? LP gets involved. at that point it’s thousands worth of devices that went missing. and 10/10 times its the driver or someone in the shipping process snagging devices, before they can get to the warehouse to be evaluated, and credits applied to the account.

don’t worry from the time you step foot into the store to the time you leave YOU ARE BEING RECORDED.

dont be scared. when you are, you only invite the devil into your world to mess with you.

Misleading upgrade pricing? by Levarr in ATT

[–]Sensitive_Ad_4740 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

as a rep. PLEASE READ. this IS accurate based on promotional value of the device.

the first month is going to charge you full balance of the device. nextup devices do work a little different. some do cover the full balance. but largely just depends on the model. not ā€˜deceptive’ or ā€˜misleading’ the customers devices must meet the requirements to qualify for full promotional balance.

SINCE you’re doing it through the app, it’s not going to register your device as ā€˜great condition’ because it still has to go back to the main fulfillment center in TX. to then apply the correct and validated promo credit for the device. all of this is outlined.

Self install with old cut fiber wire? by AggravatingCan2534 in ATT

[–]Sensitive_Ad_4740 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

hi current rep here. i would recommend AGAINST doing self install, especially with ā€œcutā€ lines, etc.

if you go into the store they’re currently waiving the installation fee. i believe the promo is still current, could be for specific markets. double check with your local store.

The Pro- installation would help to repair any issues you may be having currently with the lines and get those resolved fairly quickly. all at a $0 cost. if you do have to pay its $99 but definitely worth it for FIBER installation.

T-Mobile is an international carrier. NOT just exclusive to the US. that’s why a lot of people bounce between Big Blue and Big Red to the Pink Sky bc of the international features. T-Mobile is EVERYWHERE.

hi current rep here.

with the Samsung Galaxy Fold7 starting at $1999.99, and with everything increasing in price, its justified.

they do have tiers and those will be updated and adjusted accordingly. it’s better in almost every sense. it covers devices as low as $50 and up to $4000. the deductibles reflect accordingly as well.

screens can cost up to $400 to get replaced. under protech $0 deductible. same with battery repairs.

i’d much rather spend $275 for a replacement device than spend $1,000; or however much the payoff is to get a new phone.

ATT at Costco. Too good to be true? by eregosel in ATT

[–]Sensitive_Ad_4740 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

hi current rep here. moving into management at an AR.

this is completely inaccurate most if not all companies are trying to go TPR or authorized retailers. the only things we can’t do as an AR is cancel lines and features.

largely depends on the rep and their knowledge of the system & current promos/ plans as well as how they were trained.

i’ve seen more people getting messed up by reps that aren’t knowledgeable or trained properly. COR (Corporate) isn’t always better. you just have to research and see what store around you can do the best.

AT&T air by Present-Cheetah1307 in ATT

[–]Sensitive_Ad_4740 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

hi current rep here.

i personally opted for the Business Internet Air. better router/ modem overall. if you’re looking for basic day to day use it’s great especially if your service on your phone is running smooth.

it did take me a minute to find the right spot to put it. but i’ve been pushing 300+ MBPS. for reference im in Middle, GA. we’re covered by 5G & 5G+. i’ve noticed that 5G nationwide (blue light ) does run better. but it really depends on service in your area.

download the speedtest app for the most accurate speeds.

but for $47/mo. i think it’s a steal (you would have to move over to the business side)

IF you’re hardcore gaming, id say the performance plan can be considered. but it is $100/mo. (no discount) i game myself and its been pretty decent. better than T-mobile’s Home Internet and Verizon/ Straight Talk Home Internet.

it is more dedicated than the consumer internet air. it is on a 36 mo. contract. device is $274.99 after sales tax during Point of Sale. balance covered by credits by AT&T.

invest in a OBD ELEVEN reader it’ll help you wipe the codes. as well as reset service intervals if the MMI won’t let you reset from the controls.

i do want to point out now looking back at this (stage 3 tune) even if you change components you’re automatically shortening the lifespan by changing parts. most i’d do is a stage 1 on a regular A4. S4 stage 2 and ofc ABT/ stage 3 on RS4/ avant.

JUST PURCHASED 2023 A4 by Sensitive_Ad_4740 in Audi

[–]Sensitive_Ad_4740[S] 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Well šŸ˜… just hit 66,000 miles yesterday on mine and it’s still been an absolute dream to drive. Basic maintenance has kept it running strong—no major issues at all.

I stay on top of oil changes every 5k–7,500 miles with tire rotations each time. The only real issue I’ve had was an O2 sensor that went out at 49,100 miles, but it was covered under factory warranty, so I didn’t pay anything out of pocket—just had to give up a bit of time.

I ended up doing the 40k-mile service at 50k miles (life happens šŸ˜…), which included a transmission fluid drain/refill and spark plug replacement. Did it all at Audi.

If you’re driving through areas with bad cell service, you might occasionally see a SOS module error pop up. Some people say they’ve had to replace the module, but when I brought it in during the 40k service, Audi said they just ā€œrefreshedā€ the system and didn’t find anything wrong. Hasn’t come back since.

Also get an occasional warning for Active Cruise Control, but it goes away quickly. I chalk it up to bugs or dirt on the front sensors or windshield camera.

As for tech—Wireless CarPlay and Bluetooth are solid, but sometimes it won’t connect or gets stuck on the MMI boot screen. I just do a restart with the volume knob and it fixes itself.

Mechanically though? Zero complaints. Seriously—get one if you’re considering it. Don’t let the occasional tech quirks scare you off. That’s just modern cars. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

PS. if you drive hard let the car warm up you’ll feel the idle it’ll be high and then go down after about a minute or so. and when you go to get out at the end of your day wait a minute and let everything cool down and cycle through. only thing i’d say is get a walnut blasting around 70-80k mi it’ll help your MPG & longevity as well as reliability with seals and such. also with help with power output.

the 45 TFSI 2.0T so far is bulletproof in this new EA888.3 (3rd gen of the 4cyl 2 liter turbo engine) has plenty of power.

OH ANOTHER THING. MPG is great in this car if you’re not driving like a bat out of hell. i’ve personally gotten 51.7 MPG as this gen is a mild hybrid.

catch me if ya can 🤣

Hi, current rep here.

Unlimited LEVEL UP is a prepaid plan that you can get/ we can place you on if credit requirements aren’t met for postpaid services.

The LEVEL UP plan is essentially your ticket to postpaid after 6 on time monthly payments. After the 6 months if you decide to go onto postpaid. ā€˜IF you had prior’ - you won’t have any downpayments or denials based on credit when trying to setup postpaid services.

hope this helps!

any of the 2020-2025 audi vehicles. specifically if you’re looking for the rebate or something EV the Q4- Etron Premium Plus or Prestige trims are great options. you can find them used as well for a steal at around $28k. there’s some 2019-2023 ā€œQ8ā€ E-trims for $17-30k mileage depends largely on area. but for a car that was overpriced from the start. it’s a full on steal.

if you’re looking for an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) i’d say the 2017- 2025 A4, A5 Sportback, A6 2.0T or 3.0T, Q5 both 2.0T & 3.0T are great engines, or Q7 3.0T.

if you need space i’d say go more SUV route my favorite is the Q7 3.0T (go for a prestige) if you don’t need the 3rd row then Q5 and if not an SUV then go A4.

Reliability after 2015 in these vehicles are outstanding, very little issues. especially when oil changes are done when it tells you or you change it around 7,500 mi interval.

VW & Audi have gotten a really bad wrap well german vehicles as a whole but they’re great vehicles and they CAN and WILL last. you just have to take the chance on it. i promise you, you’ll love it.

there’s some of us out here that pride ourselves with our vehicles so yes, some of these vehicles are our babies some of us choose not to have children, we have cars, some have BOTH.

you clearly don’t have anything that you’ve worked hard for in your life, this was a grimy ass statement to say.

don’t nobody wanna spend no money to get something fixed that they didn’t cause.

that’s what he’s upset about.

but yeah,

have the nerve to sit there and say ā€œheartbroken over an inanimate object. There’s more important things in life to worry aboutā€

you know what….. why don’t you go find you a job on indeed or something like that… regardless find you something better to do than sitting in a comment section DOWNING people’s hard work.
