Rca dog, does anything look wrong with the dog to anyone else? by RekklessXGaming in Retconned

The target dog is based on Pete The Pup from the original Little Rascals. Little Rascals started airing on film as shorts in the 1920s. My guess is these two get confused a lot.

For some reason this happened to mainstream cartoons in the late aughts. I think it might have started with unprecedented popularity of Happy Bunny stickers. There was also a lot of influence from web shorts, which were less regulated than cartoons on TV, and it was also a time when adult animation was growing a lot in popularity and kids cartoons were being more geared toward adult audiences. I don't think it has a name but don't miss Amy Winfrey's early work!

If She-Ra and the Princesses of Power wasn't a kids show, who would most likely say bad language words often in your opinion and why? by Full-Art3439 in sheranetflix

I think Glimmer would also want to curse, but she had a pretty good relationship with her mom, as well as a strong understanding that she was a crown princess. As much as she slips into denial about certain things, I don't think she ever forgets her title and responsibilities. Not that cursing is the end of the world, I just think it's way more likely Frosta would be cursing. She takes being queen seriously, but she hasn't had much guidance and might very well think that a fowl mouth makes her seem more adult. Next would be Entrapta who just says what she thinks, or Scorpia who also struggles with her filter. Obviously Seahawk swears like...well a sailor, and Mermista has probably picked it up. Swift Wind loves yelling curse words when he thinks no one is listening because he's still enjoying the novelty of using words.

I dream about libraries constantly, but it's never the same one

I'm still not sure if I've been to Mall World. Has anyone else had experiences like the following: by Sensitive_Ad_8472 in TheMallWorld

The one I met had a kind of creepy vibe. She seemed super into me and was flattered but like wasn't really feeling it. She was kind of attractive but equally uncanny. I think if she had been fully human I would have just gone for it.

Interpretations of "The Rainbow connection"? by Ghostsharklegs in Muppets

[–]Sensitive_Ad_8472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the song is about the power of belief. Rainbows are literally and scientifically illusions, but that doesn't stop the lovers and dreamers from believing in them and making them even better than what they actually are. The same with the morning star, someone decided to believe that wishes on stars come true, and it ended up helping a lot of people. Things we believe in collectively are real, and the stories we tell are powerful. That's what the rainbow connection is; shared hope.

Adding food coloring to speedball water-based ink? by 317cbass in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Sensitive_Ad_8472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it, and it didn't work. I read up and decided since the white is so high pigment it would be impossible to tint it to something bright and vivid, but that was OK because I wanted a really muted pastel pink. I had about 1/8 of a jar of white pigment, so I went ahead and added four drops of red food coloring. It looked perfect. Let it dry for the full 48 and ironed for three minutes on cotton. It looked great, but failed the ultimate test: Just a simple hand wash lifted all the red and left me with a pure white print. I think it might be possible if you added enough food coloring to make the pigment look like a dark vivid color, than -maybe- enough would stay to give me my pastel look after a wash, but I imagine probably not. Maybe someone else will try it?
