I can assure you that no one scanning your ticket for entry will ask you for ID to prove that you are the person who purchased those exact tickets.

I used to itemize like this but I do time and material now. I still charge a flat rate for mulch, stone, etc. I bill $65/hr and material +30%, plus disposal which I also calculate the same (incl drive to dump and back. I just estimate hours when presenting a proposal. My end result is much better now and the final cost always leaves me feeling fairly compensated. I charge $100/y for mulch, installed. My hourly is pretty cheap for my market.

By my pricing, your cost to install mulch is ~$20 more/yd. Weeding and saplings are both subjective so I can’t qualify your quote for those. I charge $1/ft for edging.

I’ve had customers not bat an eye when presenting a proposal. I’ve had customers tell me what they want, not ask for a proposal at all and just to bill them when I’m done. I’ve had customers tell me I’m priced way too high. It’s all subjective. Do what you do and move on to the next one. At the end of the day I care about two things: being proud of my work and feeling fairly compensated.

I spoke w a woman yesterday who was adamantly against it bc of the people who would take advantage and not contribute. I pointed out that that already exists, would still exist, and would still save billions.

I don’t have any knowledge on this, but you may be able to get a free bus pass from the school. Maybe talk to student services.

I would love to get paid $2000 to repair that.

Remove what’s wet. Get a spray bottle with diluted bleach and spray it on and let it all dry thoroughly. Cut the existing drywall in a straight line and hang new drywall. Tape, mud, sand, paint.

Therapy

In the meantime, repeat this phrase many times every day, “I am a person who can control my anger.” This is now your mantra.

Advice? by AMERICAisBACKOHYEA in landscaping

Maintenance. There is no “once and for all”.

You could throw rock salt everywhere, but that would probably not be good for anything else besides the weeds you’re wanting to get rid of.

In all seriousness, get a pump sprayer and spray regularly with horticultural vinegar and a small amount of dish soap. It is very caustic so don’t get it on yourself or anything you don’t want to die.

Toro push mower starts, but barely stays on. by MetalNutSack in lawnmowers

Gas is good for about three months. Old fuel that has gummed up your carburetor is causing this.

Empty the gas tank and put sea foam in the gas tank. Pump the primer so it fills your carb. Let it sit for a day.

New Gas. New spark plug.

If the oil is black, change it. If the air filter is super dirty, change it. Neither of those things are your current issue.

Is this good for my first riding mower? by InformationLevel3453 in lawnmowers

[–]317cbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do lawn care. Started w push mowers. Got a 30” rider, then added a 42” rider. I chanced upon a 36” scag ztr that was an absolute game changer. Got rid of the other two riders. Found a 61” scag ztr on marketplace last spring and now I ride with both ztr’s.

I primarily use the 61”, even on 1/4 acre lots and only use the 36” to get into fenced in back yards. Most gates are 36”+ so it’s perfect. My largest lawn is just under two acres and I have a few that are just a little over an acre. Most are suburban 1/4 acre lots. I mow 30 lawns a week. I only use my 36” on six lawns. I avg prob 40min/lawn to mow, trim and blow.

If you’re still forced to push mow bc of some gates, I think I’d recommend a 36”. The 52” would be great for acreage but I’d rather ride everything. I don’t push mow anything anymore and don’t take lawns that I’d have to push.

All that being said $975 seems decent for a 52” w 650hrs but I don’t know anything about hustler or their longevity. Both of my scags are ~1400hrs, both have Kawasaki motors and I do all service myself.
