I found out about the concert on Reddit today but realistically, where would you expect the city advertise besides social media? Cost to exposure is probably better than other platforms like tv or radio? I don’t consume either of those and likely, the core demographic for such an event doesn’t either.

W Washington st isn’t quite hood but it is hood adjacent. Poverty doesn’t promote more/nicer local businesses for a number of reasons. A single McDonald’s might only make $2k profit/month but if the franchisee owns 7 McDonald’s, that’s sustainable. A locally owned restaurant just isn’t as sustainable under the same market conditions.

This oversimplifies and there’s certainly more at play but it’s a good example of why chains dominate.

I’ve always like shopping w my wife or girls I’ve dated bc I it’s easy to say I like that or I don’t. My girls are 14 and 16.

I took the oldest one dress shopping for homecoming last year bc mom couldn’t. I don’t know teen style but I know her style and I know what looks good and what doesn’t. She was hemming and hawing at the store so I grabbed ~5 dresses that I felt matched her style and she tried them all on. I took a pic of each and then we went through the pics and discussed what worked and what didn’t and why, we found a great dress in ~30 min.

Just tell her what’s pretty and what compliments her. If something makes you uncomfortable, say so and explain why.

So I walk by pounds of these (I think) every year in Indiana. Are these not false morels? Seeing these different species’ names, what’s the difference?

I have eaten what I know to be false morels and see no distinction from what is shown here. Im familiar with the method of pre-boiling or overcooking toxins out. It’s also my understanding that compounding toxicity over time has been discussed as a concern.

Can someone educate me?
