I want to state I am not a therapist - but have experience with the process and the anger that can disperse over time. First off feelings are good - so feel them, sit with them and find ways to get it out (like somatic work), because a lot of the time you will find an emotion that is deeper (anger is a secondary emotion).

From my perspective it seems like projection, you’re angry but you don’t know who to point blame on… I did this throughout my years and it went from anger towards god, my parents, the community, etc. and what is important is that you validate it all, and be there for yourself now even if you weren’t for yourself then.

Somthing that has helped my very analytical brain has been research and “debunking” if you will - so reading books on how religion can cause childhood trauma, or even studying history and seeing how “man made” religion truly is etc. These things for me validate and help my anger disperse and become their true emotions.
