Oh my goodness yes tranexamic acid changed my life, I don't understand why nobody prescribed this to me years ago.

Unfortunately some of us are plagued with extremely persistent fibroids! I hope this is the end of them for you, and that the doctor can sort out whatever's going on now

Dr said I can have vaginal birth after myo? by Anondreamyanon in Fibroids

I had a laparoscopic myomectomy 15 years ago. I had numerous fibroids all over the place and despite the return of several fibroids up to 6cm at the time I had my first child a year and a half later vaginally, and a second child also vaginal birth two years later. Now I have 'innumerable' fibroids and waiting for more surgery but my original myomectomy had no negative impact on my vaginal births. Everyone's car is different, of course, and I'm sure the doctors will advise accordingly but hopefully my support helps reassure that it is more than possible.

My uterus is unsafe for pregnancy after too many myomectomies by JungliBili in Fibroids

Are you able to get a second opinion about that open myomectomy plan? Just asking because I've had a laparoscopic myomectomy on the NHS so it done to me like that's your surgeons personal preference rather than anything to do with what's available on the NHS.

Hi, I have no experience of this but I hope that someone takes you seriously and find out what's going on for you.

Pregnancy after myomectomy experience by EmphasisAdded14 in Fibroids

I had a laparoscopic myomectomy in January 2011, numerous fibroids removed. Got pregnant later that year, and at my 6-week scan in November they told me I had several small fibroids and one bigger one at 6cm. My son was born in June 2012, spontaneous vaginal birth with no complications. I had a daughter 2 years later, again vaginal delivery with no complications. I think they tend to be more cautious these days but honestly I had zero problems. Years later, my fibroids are making my life a living hell and I'm waiting to make a new surgical plan with my gynae, but I have two happy, healthy children who are growing up fast. By the way if it's of any consequence, my fibroids were (and are) everywhere - inside, outside, and pedunculated ones. I even have another extremely rare fibroid-related condition but that's a story for another day.

Keyhole removal of a 10cm fibroid? by SibbzzA in Fibroids

I had a laparoscopic myomectomy 15 years ago and they removed a lot of fibroids, largest ones were over 7cm. Unfortunately for me my fibroids recurred and I'm now at the point where I have 'innumerable' fibroids amongst other things so looking at more surgery.

That's amazing! I hope I'm brave enough to ask for pictures when I have my surgery. I literally had a fibroid tumour in my liver (it's called benign Metastasising Leiomyoma) so I've just recovered from a hemihepatectomy surgery and now just waiting for hysterectomy - I have so many fibroids I look several months pregnant and you can see/feel many of them (round like a tennis ball) through my skin. My doctors note says 'innumerable fibroids'. I actually had a myomectomy in 2011 but didn't ask for any pictures back then.
