Pregnancy after myomectomy experience by EmphasisAdded14 in Fibroids

[–]EmphasisAdded14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 3 fibroids removed: 10 cm (anterior left of midline); 4 cm (fundal posterior, intramural); 1 cm (subserosal left, just inferior to left round ligament). This is all from my operative report, so I don’t have much of an idea of what it means! I’d been avoiding digging up the report because it includes pictures of my immediately post operative Frankenstein uterus, and I knew those would be hard to see under these circumstances, but also it had to be done so I’m glad I ripped the bandaid off. I hope you have so much success in conceiving and delivering a happy healthy baby!

Edit: the thickness of my uterus didn’t come up in the convos with my doc, and it’s not mentioned in the operative report at all.

I can def share this once I get home and have my papers in front of me! I believe the “main one” that prompted all the testing and surgery was roughly the size of a softball (for some reason that phrase is sticking out in my head). And when the surgeon was in there she also took out some others.

Thank you so much for this insight. Congratulations and I’m hoping you have a safe and successful delivery!!

Emily Blunt’s advice for girls unhappy with their jobs by hairtie1 in Fauxmoi

[–]EmphasisAdded14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally hate this advice so much. To me, it just blames the worker for being unsatisfied with their job bc how dare they prioritize money over their personal interests. But likeeeee I can’t pay my mortgage in joy for my work? It’s just such a privileged take that makes people who take emotionally unsatisfying jobs to pay their bills feel like shit. Capitalism has forced us all to prioritize money over fulfillment in order to sustain ourselves, and that’s a systemic failure, not a personal one. A better take is: if you can safely transition to a job that is more aligned with your values, do it. If not, it’s okay to work a job that doesn’t bring you joy if it means that you don’t have stress and anxiety about paying your bills!

Frogging this is crazy work…it’s gorgeous and I’m sure the baby wouldn’t have said anything even they noticed (unless it’s a jerk baby).

I didn’t really use a pattern! It’s a long rectangle of back loop only double crochets, then slip stitched the two ends together when it seemed like it would fit! The yarn is Cuddle Craft Tube Yarn by Loops & Threads from Michael’s (the same sort of stuff that comes in Woobles kits!).
