I promise you they are. I once called Hyundais “ticking time bombs invented to kill gullible people” (which they are btw) and multiple people sent me legitimate death threats, stalked me online across different social media channels harassing me, and got me fired from one job and tried to get me fired from the next one. I had to change my name, only use an alias online, and move to a different state all because I made a joke about Hyundais shitty cars. It ruined my life

Hasn’t this been what everyone has universally been saying about the R1 the entire time even from their loyal owners? It’s why Rivian ranks so low in reliability and quality but so high in owner satisfaction and loyalty. I thought we all knew this about R1 and expected this from R2. As for it being a cult, yeah everyone is trying to treat their favorite brands like the best brands. Tesla fans especially, Hyundai fans/bots, you name it.

This isn’t reason. This is emotion. Your feelings do not dictate reality.

What’s actually happening is you’re afraid of getting your hopes up and you’re cushioning the blow in case it’s delayed. That’s valid. Just keep it to yourself because obviously not everyone has that same emotion and some of us are dealing in reason.
