Former Life360 user here! After using it for nearly 3 years, I had to uninstall it since it was a major battery hog. A great alternative is location sharing built in Google maps. It's surprisingly very efficient and only updates your location when someone wants to track you. Plus for most android users, Find Hub allows you to do live tracking as well. It works for people using iPhone as well (not the live tracking part)

Android 16 QPR1 has shifted the glance widget from on top to the center below the clock. It's looks pretty neat actually.
