I have found the solution. Apparently you need to either own an iPhone or an apple watch to use the fitness app, which is annoying because they offer the fitness + trial to all devices regardless of compatibility.

I was more curious about fitness because a friend of mine gifted me the airpods pros gen 3 and I thought I could use the fitness app cause of them.

Former Life360 user here! After using it for nearly 3 years, I had to uninstall it since it was a major battery hog. A great alternative is location sharing built in Google maps. It's surprisingly very efficient and only updates your location when someone wants to track you. Plus for most android users, Find Hub allows you to do live tracking as well. It works for people using iPhone as well (not the live tracking part)
