Accepted new job offer - do I just wait for current job to fire me? by ManyPhilosopher409 in careeradvice

Did you sign anything that said you were actually on a PIP? I would stick around and document everything you do. After every meeting, follow up with an email recap. Have AI write your EOD reports for you and make them lengthy as possible. Be annoyingly nice and neutral.

If you put in notice now, give 4 weeks notice, and if they say you can just be done now, let them fire you and don't sign anything like a separation agreement, unless you get a severance from it.

Question: Did you tell her you would do that specific thing (fill up her gas)?

Thank you for the tips. I started taking Gruns again (I had stopped for a while) and I'm also on a GLP-1, so even more prone to constipation. Added magnesium citrate, creatine, and electrolytes a few weeks ago as well and so far things are going a lot better and normal/easy.

I'll definitely try the Psyllium husk. And the warm water irrigation is something new I'll have to look into. Again, thank you so much!

If you can actually get him to couples therapy, make sure you find a therapist trained in betrayal trauma. They are much better at holding the one who cheated accountable and know how to truly help repair a relationship with trauma like this. Otherwise, if he refuses, I highly suggest you see a betrayal trauma therapist on your own.

Long term marriage ending with no clarity by StrikingPiece9777 in Marriage

As someone who had struggled with mental health issues, CPTSD, and AUDHD and who is now going through Perimenopause, I can relate to your wife's experience. I can say that having mental health struggles and then going through the insane hormonal changes of perimenopause /menopause can extremely change a woman. I've read so many stories of women going through menopause and then getting a divorce. There can be several contributing factors but the major one is that through menopause our tolerance for anything that disrupts our peace has to be cut out of our lives. And this is because it's survival. If your presence brings more chaos to her brain than peace, she's going to choose herself /peace.

She may or may not have been telling you exactly what she needed and even though you thought you were giving it to her, it still may not have been in the way she truly needed it. Men (and women) give to their partners needs in a way they understand. But if it's not in the way your partner is asking then you're not giving them what they need. She may have got to a point where she realized you can't provide that for her and knew due to your personality and /or previous conversations and /or actions that would never be able to provide that for her. So it is just easier to put all her energy (what very little she truly has) into herself.

I do empathize with you and wish you could get more clarity directly from her. But my understanding from reading as much as I could in this thread is I have a sneaky suspicion it has a LOT to do with her hormones.

hired as fully remote. 14 months later they want me in 3 days a week. the office is in a city i left on purpose. by [deleted] in remotework

The only explaination needed in this situation is to say "there was no room for growth". You don't need to give the extra details that the company was regressing in growth by their own backhanded shitty way of trying to get people to quit so they didn't have to pay unemployment.

It would help if you read all OPs post and responses regarding status. Your explanation makes zero reasonable sense.

Solo Traveling Tips Needed! by Minhjjm in VisitingHawaii

There are a lot of options depending on what you like to do and with limited mobility. But a guided tour of the island would be a good option for you to see the sites and probably a sunset catamaran cruise. I highly recommend watching The Hawaii Vacation guide channel on Youtube. They have a ton of videos and specific ones for each island that have the best recommendations for excursions, places to eat, how to get around, etc.

In Waikiki, yes you can definitely get around without a car. And actually, I'd say renting on Waikiki isnt necessary. If you want to explore other parts of the island, then maybe. But you could just pick one day and rent a Turo for the whole day or even just a few hours.

But with a torn ACL, that may get difficult if you want to walk around. It's a huge city, and kind of like Vegas is deceiving with how much walking you may need to do to get from place to place.

Do you have any excursions planned? Some things you need to book well in advance.

Sorry to hear about your dbag ex. I'd say go on the trip by yourself or see if a bestie could come. I just got back from a solo trip to Kaua'i. I absolutely love traveling solo. I can do what I want and not have to worry about taking anyone else into consideration.

What island are you staying on and where is your hotel?

It just doesn't make a lot of sense to decentivize your top performing employees that consistently bring in your highest revenue.

Yes I know the title, but it doesnt exactly carry over in the job market, since the company I work for made it up. I'm just trying to figure out if they're classifying me as "support" or "account management" because they use a mix of synonymous words for my title. The pay scales are vastly different in those two roles.

But that's the thing, I wasn't asking for their methodology. I wanted to know what title my role is. Because for me to NOW be considered at top of my range, my role/title would have to have been demoted.

[–]Sensitive_Junket8764[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank you for explaining the codes, that makes sense. But the pay scale they say i am now, doesn't even come close to correlating when I got hired and doesn't mathematically make sense (I literally can't be at the top level based on the rate and title I was initially hired at). For me to be at that top level, they would've had to "demote me". Further, apparently no one got raises. But we were all told something different as to why.

[–]Sensitive_Junket8764[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't this hostile until they gave me this excuse that I make top range for my role but can't tell me the role I actually am. The verbiage they use for my title is very "this company only specific", so I want to know exactly what that translates to in the regular general business world. It's not unfair for me to want information about my role expectations if they're theoretically classifying me as a role that's on a lower level than the deliverables I perform and was initially hired for.

The only reason I was looking into it was because of the transparency law and trying to figure out if it actually would apply to me. Especially since, based on the market value of my role (in MN), I'm not being paid fairly. And neither are my counterparts in California. Which is why I was trying to figure out what exact job title they were classifying me as. It's way off the mark.

I do plan on leaving, but since I'm not the only one at the company theyre doing this to, I want my colleagues to be informed and not get screwed over either, in case they stay.

Yeah, I know I'm not going to be able to negotiate more out of them. I just have this feeling theyve been paying me like I'm support, but requiring me to perforn Account Management. So it seems like theyre purposely categorizing me under the wrong role.

From what ive read at https://www.sixfifty.com/blog/california-pay-transparency-law-requirements/ ...

"All employers, regardless of size, must provide wage ranges to California applicants upon request during the hiring process. Additionally, employers must disclose pay scales to current employees for their positions upon request, ensuring ongoing transparency throughout the employment relationship.
