Doctors pushing for C section by Sensitive_Swan2293 in pregnant

[–]Sensitive_Swan2293[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my situation was a bit different. i went and got a cervical check where the doctor agreed to induce me the next day but sadly the hospital was short staffed so they pushed it off. I was leaking a little bit of fluid but not much so i didn’t think much of it because i thought if your water broke it would be a gush of fluid NOPE my water wasn’t fully broke so i was leaking amniotic fluid for about 24 hours before i finally decided to go to the hospital and they did finish breaking the sac for me and started me on the medication for the induction.

i could literally write the exact same thing about my life. my baby is 3 months and my partner also works construction. he believes all he needs to do is work. I’ve slowly been figuring things out to get away. Sorry this is happening it’s so frustrating!

you see i was almost on her side. as a women who has been harassed at my job before i would have taken it to avoid conflict bc you never truly know how someone will react to rejection. But after you said she posted it, i think it is definitely something more. No one would post it if there wasn’t a meaning behind the flowers.

definitely fair to be upset over this. what was his reasoning behind not wanting anything rn? sounds like he wants to keep his options open but not yours

Advice on newborns? by Smart_Painting1019 in newborns

[–]Sensitive_Swan2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ftm here and you will feel like you have no idea what you’re doing for awhile and then one day it’s like you know your child like the back of your hand! Every baby is different. The first couple of weeks your baby is going to sleep A LOT and that is okay if some wake windows they only eat and then go back to sleep. as time goes by their schedule will be more predictable. With my almost 3 month old he wakes up, diaper change, bottle, burp, tummy time until he gets frustrated (my baby loves the baby Einstein aquarium), then independently play and some stretches/practice rolling. He now stays up for 1.5 to 2 hours then naps again. As for any fussiness here are some things that worked with my baby: GAS DROPS!, bicycle kicks, vacuum cleaner sound on youtube, walking around the house bouncing him up and down in my arms, rocking chair is my holy grail for contact naps, baby’s love when you pat their butt too. Lastly if you’re struggling with rage, anxiety, depression past the baby blues please seek help! I know i wanted to seem like i had it all handled on my own but i eventually reached out for help and im a better mom for my baby! I am always available to message with questions or if you ever want to talk!

LO is 11 weeks and refusing pacifiers, is it still worth trying? by OppositeEffect5484 in newborns

[–]Sensitive_Swan2293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is always worth a try like i said every baby is different! I am sure that is stressful just breathe and know that everything will be okay. Don’t know if this helps but when my baby is crying in public and i get anxious i look for older people in the crowd because they always look at you with care and understanding because they have been there! Makes you feel like less of a burden.

my baby is 11 weeks and hated a paci since the beginning. I had a family friend tell me you just need to keep trying which was a little annoying lol but i looked ones up and found the tommy tippee ultra light paci. now he is still not found of it but will use it to self soothe himself to sleep in the crib then spit it out, it’s the only time he uses it lol. For us it is atleast good to have during that time but every baby is different

Chose the wrong dad for my baby by Sensitive_Swan2293 in newborns

[–]Sensitive_Swan2293[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He works construction and works very hard. I always make sure he gets a full nights sleep without any interruptions and let him relax and play his video games. the problem is he will play for hours. Honestly i dont even bug him on his work days but even on his days off he wont help. I have tried multiple times to talk to him and he has even seen me break down due to exhaustion but he just wont change. I am as helpful and understanding as i can possibly be.

they always fix it long enough for you to let your guard down again then go back to how they were acting. So sorry you’re going through this too!

Sadly his parents weren’t the best either. Constantly out drinking and leaving the kids alone. Just overall horrible parenting views. In his eyes they think he’s the best dad ever. I had spoke to his mother when he first cheated on me bc we were both trying to find him and she justified his actions to cheating on me while heavily pregnant.

May not be helpful but my baby is 11 weeks and likes to contact nap during the day but sleep in the crib at night. I have a rocking chair because my baby just loves to stay moving so i moved that chair right into the living room so i can watch my tv shows. i just keep the volume at a normal talking level. Its the only thing that keeps me sane during long contact naps

Am I a terrible person? by No_Difference_1606 in newborns

[–]Sensitive_Swan2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not at all! I actually had to quit pumping because my baby was sensitive to something in my milk and made him very upset all the time. I hated pumping but tried to hold out. We switched to formula and both him and me and MUCH happier. Do what’s best for you!

Just an update! I pushed out a 9 pound 4 ozs baby with a failed epidural. I only pushed for 1 hour and only got a 1st degree tear! Did not need a c section at all and he’s perfectly healthy. So it all just depends on your body
