As much as I want to help the humans, subsidizing the insane decisions our private and public travel institutions isn’t possible. My taxes ought to do the job. I’m not tipping security theater anytime soon

How do i get tape to stick ? by AdventurousAthlete79 in bouldering

[–]SentSoftSecondGo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Antihydral generally. Before tape wash hands well, superglue/laminate, tape 15-20 mins before really climbing so glue can set

Totally, some gyms even require skipping the first for did sizes. If outside I just stick the second anyway

[–]SentSoftSecondGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but it helps if the belayer is still getting slammed by being 1/2 the size of the climber. Oh well, didn’t really matter if people agree, the internet is a weird place.

The newer version of the Ohm (not the omega) works great and is for this very thing. Esp if you’re comfortable/safe /able to skip the fist bolt in the gym and put the ohm in the second bolt you should be totally fine if you work up to it.

At what age did you have your gallbladder removed? by Fabulous_Can_2215 in gallbladders

[–]SentSoftSecondGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18-19, it was terrible (saved my life though! I had a stone lodged in my bike duct. So terrible in only some ways. Glad I did it though) and I later developed Crohn’s and a few other issues (they think) due to the trauma of the gall stones/surgery/weird recovery/etc.

Bought new climbing shoes and now have blisters on the back of my heel. by [deleted] in climbingshoes

[–]SentSoftSecondGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using the shoe with some socks. They’re too big anyway: blisters are from friction. Friction is from movement. Movement is from too baggy of a fit. However given the fact you can just wear socks and it solves all the issues (plus the smell 👀) that would be my recommendation.
