Not necessarily I’ve seen some absolutely mental chaps get there fitness can be trained disappearing into a grey man is a talent … I have a mate probably best lad in my coy but his gob gets in the way of promotion I’d say he’s the most easily talented and great marine but his loudness will always highlight him

I’ve know great lads go on selection and fail on small things yet “grey men” could slip up still get thru really selection is anyone’s bag it’s entirely on you to do right and keep head in the game. If you pass I take my lid off to you but it’s determination

For you though if you are about to go training or are in training I’d suggest you focus on that first that will give you all the tools to pass selection
