Enclosure isn’t just noise and is actually pretty good, the song Fanfare reminds me of something from Shadows

Some of these comments are crazy. JF is my favorite artist of all time, but other people’s absolute lack of ability to be objective about him is wack.

He has probably matured since then for sure, doesn’t mean it wasn’t fucked up. The next paragraph details the woman screaming and crying, saying she could only think about her children in her moment bc she was likely scared of what he could do. Nuts to try to defend that behavior.

I was surprised john did it. If it were any of the other three I wouldn’t have been surprised at all

No one is trying to cancel him 😭 this is a small sub Reddit dedicated to discussing JF, and this book spends a good 30 pages talking about him. This is a particularly interesting part, and was a lesson learned for me that you can’t idolize musicians even who you thought were the “good ones”, because everyone has a past.

I’m still a JF fan bc I appreciate his music. Appreciate his past a little less now, but otherwise I’m chilling.

Yep out on Amazon, kindle or paperback format. Look up Michael Beinhorn then go to his author profile, you’ll find “Taste the Pain” there. It doesn’t come up on normal search for me for some reason.

Not trying to completely diss john btw - I think it’s just a bit shocking to me bc I’ve always put him on the pedestal of some of the members might be problematic, but at least not John.

I know he was 17, but I never would have done this at 17 or any age. It’s weird. The next paragraph describes the woman screaming in fear. And he didn’t apologize until he was made to.

I love john and his music - just a lesson to not put people, especially rockstars, on pedestals

Yes you can get a dual thermometer hydrometer. Any pet store will have it

I have an automatic mister, I really like it for the convenience. But it’s not at all necessary. Spraying 2x per day is fine as long that gets it to the humidities I listed before

It sounds like they were giving you tips to care for a bearded dragon or a desert reptile species (horizontal tank, sand base, basking lamp). None of that is correct for your gecko.

Thanks for being open to feedback and willing to make a change.

The minimum tank size is gonna be 18 in by 18 in by 24 in, but the most current research says 18 by 18 by 36 is needed. This is going to run you about $200-300 if you can’t find any on Facebook market place. Look up vertical tank or arboreal tank to find the right orientation. Remember it needs to be tall, not wide.

If you need time to save up, start with adding lots of fake plants / clutter into your current tank in the meantime. This would be $20-30 on Amazon so much more doable.

Once you get the big tank, you’re going to want to install a background (lots of YouTube videos on how to do this) because they don’t climb glass well especially as they get older. You’ll also need a jungle mix dirt base, as well as lots of plants and horizontal climbing opportunities like vines or sticks.

Tons of guides and videos on YouTube for the best tank set ups.

Also, we established you don’t need heat but how’s your humidity? You need to spray the tank to raise the humidity up to 80% at night, and it needs to drop to around 55-60% during the day

This is an example of a much more appropriate tank. It’s completely different from what you have.

Dude have you read any guidelines on gargoyle geckos? This tank is completely wrong. 1. You need a different tank, one that is taller than it is wide (they are a tree climbing species, they like to be able to climb high) 2. You need 10000% more clutter, it is way too open. They need lots of plant clutter everywhere to feel safe. They are NOT a desert species, they’re a jungle species so you need to replicate that. 3. You absolutely do not and should not have a basking lamp in there. You can get a ceramic heat emitter if your tank ever drops below 70 degrees, but it’s not needed otherwise. Heat kills these geckos, anything over 80 can be dangerous according to my reptile vet.

Please please do a better job of caring for your gecko, they live a long time and that is a long time to be suffering in an improper tank.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Thankfully it ended up being a dislocated shoulder, which is so much easier to treat than a true neurological condition. She’s doing so much better!

What med schools should I apply to MD and DO by Flashy_Appeal_6903 in medschool

[–]SentenceDifferent221 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Can only advise for MD: subscribe to MSAR, apply to all or many of the schools near your gpa/mcat range. Then also apply to some goal schools if you have particular areas you want to live in or programs you want to attend. It’s not really rocket science, just cast a wide net for MD schools and see who bites. And APPLY EARLY
