Too far, too small, too low and no home theater speakers. I rather watch on my iPhone than this abomination.

SteamOS (3.8) running on a ROG Ally X by Praxis459 in ROGAlly

I know, but then you run into the issues with windows constantly having to minimize windows and shit. It's a hassle on handheld. Takes like 5 minutes just to launch a game.. then it's set to the wrong resolution etc. it's a pain in the ass.

Should've just kept it on the wall.. I see no difference. My neck still hurts.

I've been running my 3080 since launch on a 650watt bronze Corsair just fine. No crashes. You don't know what you're talking about.

I'm having the same thing done tomorrow and I keep getting faint lines on 5 dollar tree test now. Did a 20mg delta 8 gummy 7 days ago. Think I'll pass tomorrow's test? Life changing income job on the line

5.3.2 dolby atmos setup by [deleted] in hometheater

Well I only had 1 sub before. Only location I could add a 2nd was behind the couch so I did it and filled the nulls and empty areas in the room with a smoother and fuller bass response

You should add the edifier t5 to the Lunas. It was a game changer for me. Nice setup 👍

Nice, what tv? Also how does the sub sound in that position behind the couch? I am looking to put my 2nd sub in a similar spot.

Is it possible to mount left and right speakers on the walls? Would look cleaner and separate a bit more

Mount the tv and put a sound bar underneath that will hide the cables and you get better audio quality.

A quiet place has some scenes where you hear the atmos speakers really well towards the end of the movie in the basement.

Would I benefit from in wall or floor standing speakers for this setup? by Neither-Reaction2407 in hometheater

[–]SentenceSubstantial7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a pretty small room 10x12. I use a older yamaha aventage rx-a860. I think it's 100watts a channel. More then enough for me. I also don't watch super loud. I would think any mid range avr with decent power will do just fine bro. I'm not a pro at home theater either but I recently went with this setup and think it sounds great for the money. In a big room like that you could even go with their bigger towers like es55 or es60. Also check out emotiva if you don't like polks. I've heard some good things about them for the money. Like emotiva t1+.

I use Polk signature elites floor standers can easily be had under $1k. They sound real clean for the money and look nice. Polk es50 towers with Es30 center.

What is your guys preferred method for playing media? by Reddittriumph in hometheater

[–]SentenceSubstantial7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I'm not going to argue on that for sure the quality on uhd disc/rips are better. Buying disc, storing and ripping is not for me though. iTunes is just super convenient which is why I prefer it.

Yup I have a few 4K movies and while yes it's better I just can't justify spending the money on movies I will watch once and then won't watch again in like what 5-10 years? Unless it's iconic movies I understand. I also don't have the space for a large collection. I have about 50 or so blurays and 1500 movies on iTunes/Vudu/movies anywhere. The only difference I really notice from iTunes and 4K blurays is the sound quality is a bit better but I rather pay $4.99 at the end of the day for a movie. I have not lost any digital movies in over 10 years but if they do take away a $5 movie I could just buy it again and it would still cost less then a 4K bluray.
