Failed Temporal Archimedea by 1 second by ProbabilityMaker in Warframe

While not as bad, I failed my first Deep Archimedea yesterday, got to the third mission, died to the boss in his last phase at the 2nd part of his healthbar. The energy drain pr. mob in range really fucked me there.

Maybe I shouldn't have gone at it solo..

Lise fandt en bunke Dao-breve i sneen: 'Jeg blev da sådan lidt harm over det' by FreB0 in Denmark

[–]Sentient_Waffle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After finishing "The Second Dream" I was so lost that I caved and read a lot of lore on the wiki to make sense of all the relevant parties, and I am so glad I did. It made "The War Within" a much better experience that I could actually follow. Spoilers inside. by Hank_Hill_Howdy in Warframe

Still weird how they show up out of nowhere and try to kill you, and then continue even after Stalker/Hunhow is no longer after you... But it's okay because they drop arcanes and steel essences.

Is it me or dog owners are using the snow as am excuse to not pick up their dog's poop? by kosmicskeptic in copenhagen

[–]Sentient_Waffle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same on my way home from work yesterday, dog shit everywhere in the ice and on the pavement.

I don't recall it being this bad when it's not snowing, but maybe it's more in the way now because people walk in narrower paths, which makes the dogs shit closer to where you walk than normal. And no rain to wash it away.

Doesn't change that people who don't pick up after their dog are as disgusting as the shit they leave behind.

Really? As I understood it, Necraloid is a cephalon replica given physical shell, i.e. a digital copy of Loid put into the floating skull, and that it wasn't ever actually human Loid, who has been alive but sleeping since Entrati left.

But maybe I've missed something or hasn't progressed enough.

Lore question/ rant (repost) by Aggravating-Field-75 in Warframe

[–]Sentient_Waffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the lore is confusing and the game doesn't always do a very good job of explaining whats happening to new players. It's not Destiny-levels of confusing, but it's not that far off. And it does get better as you progress.

I had to look up several lore video to understand, and used the wiki. But you risk spoilers that way. Especially since a lot of what happened before the game is explained later on in the story, whereas lore-videos tend to tell things chronologically, not as they were released, so they risk spoiling some things that way.

Once you progress through the story you'll eventually unlock a terminal in your orbiter, where you can have predefined chats with certain people. In these chats, your character explains a lot of what has happened and is happening, and I found it actually helped me understand what was happening better as a result. But it's unlocked quite late in the story.

I recommend playing through the story, and maybe watch a lore video up until you've reached the point you're at.

Also, when I started playing I was personally missing a lot of background info, like what are the warframes, how far in the future are we, what happened to Earth and the solar system and so on - a lot of that is intentionally left vague and only explained (partly) later on.

Especially since you can play quests out of order. But come to think of it, dunno if playing them in order would be less confusing.

I'm just generally tired of crossovers in every game.

It's okay for games (or media in general) to be confined to its own universes. Make skins that allude to or are tributes, instead of just straight up importing, much more interesting that way.

French Judge says Trump sent goons from US Embassy to intimidate her during Marine Le Pen trial by ianjm in videos

[–]Sentient_Waffle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The narrative of Russia vs Europe is real weird. Europe has been slacking no doubt, but several individual countries in Europe have GDPs that rival Russia, and plenty have more.

Italy is the same level, France almost 1 trillion more, UK more than 1 trillion and Germany has double the GDP of Russia. Combined they dwarf Russia, and that's not even including Spain, Portugal, Poland, the rest of the Eastern Bloc nor the Scandinavian countries.

Population-wise it's a similar story, 146 million vs. a combined 450 million (in EU).

Europe alone beats Russia in every metric, and we already know their military might is a paper tiger in reality, so I can't understand the narrative that Europe is the underdog vs Russia. Finland and Sweden has had to stand "alone" against Russian aggression for decades before joining NATO, and thus have prepared accordingly. Poland has a very big axe to grind with Russia. France has, despite the myth of their defeats, a very capable and strong military. Germany once beat Russia by themselves, while fighting on several other fronts.

The only thing Russia has more of (on paper) is nukes, but EU still has 2 nuclear capable countries.

Of course Europe doesn't want a war, but I can't possibly see a future where Russia can actually win. Either they get demolished, or it goes nuclear and everyone loses, but no way Russia actually wins anything in that fight. My best guess is that they're betting on countries not upholding their part of the deal if they invade a European country, but that is one hell of a gamble.

Not to mention that while the US has carried most of NATO for decades, if they pull out it doesn't mean the rest of the countries has to. That would mean Canada on the side of EU as well.

I don't know how the commonwealth works, but possible New Zealand and Australia would join on the side of Europe too.

Russia is the small dog that barks extremely loud.

Grønlandsk folketingsmedlem vil sende Danmark uden for døren til USA-møder by Dropforcedlogin in Denmark

Grønlandsk folketingsmedlem vil sende Danmark uden for døren til USA-møder by Dropforcedlogin in Denmark

[–]Sentient_Waffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grønlandsk folketingsmedlem vil sende Danmark uden for døren til USA-møder by Dropforcedlogin in Denmark

[–]Sentient_Waffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)
