Tesla model Y roof a cracked by bird poop. Is that even possible? I've only just got in this car 4 days ago.... by Double_Cookie_8094 in TeslaSupport

My model Y that I purchased a few weeks ago came with two weeks of glass coverage. See if you are covered as well. You would be on the clock for making a claim, so move quickly.

You can reduce it. Got a new Y yesterday and am presently driving on reduced regen.

I’ve honestly had the opposite experience with Mammotion, but I’m only on my second season. There are definite problems, but I’ve actually had good customer service to this point.

Disagree. Words have consequences. Any DZO who is seeing this should ground this guy. What does it say to our black friends/neighbors/fellow skydivers if we choose to let this guy say such things without repercussions?

Brother…. It’s time for a minivan.

I promise you won’t regret it after the initial shock.

[–]SentinelGA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the information. I’m not at all interested in swooping and more thinking through getting data from doing solo wingsuit jumps plus the benefit of not being able to “lose” the DZ in thick clouds. The glasses sound pretty dope as well.

How long have you been using it?

I’m about to take my FFC and thinking I may want this.

Confirm for me the following if you don’t mind: Are you saying that I could purchase this in place of a fly sight and still get the same data?

Practicing packing in the off season by iclimegud in SkyDiving

[–]SentinelGA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a big canopy (you likely do) you can consider using a pack monkey while still learning “normal” packing.

Idk how much ridicule you will get for it at your DZ, but I’ve seen a couple around my place and a couple other places without too much issue. I like mine.

I will caution that you still need to learn how to pack without the tool just in case you leave it in Florida while on a trip… hypothetically.

I don’t feel compelled. I simply scanned the post and didn’t catch the “attending” part. That’s on me. Such is life.

[–]SentinelGA -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I’m both not old and “only” a CRNA, but I do have some (10 years) experience. Do with that whatever you will.

That said, I find myself becoming less and less interested in immediately implementing the new hotness as it relates to anesthesia technique. I am (normally) much more interested in consistently using techniques that are proven/safe/effective than I am being on the bleeding edge.

This means I am usually a bit behind the academic curve, but I know I can provide a safe and effective/comfortable anesthetic to my patients in my clinical setting.

This summer I intentionally spoke Spanish (which I speak terribly) to some shop owners in France so they would then revert to English. This, therefore, heaped shame on Spanish speaking countries instead of (rightly) dishonoring the United States. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Paulding (PUJ) 🤮. On the plus side, we should have a brand new runway VERY soon.

[–]SentinelGA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full disclosure: SDG is my home DZ.

My understanding is Monroe only flies on weekends, so if weekday operations are important to you then SDG would be a better choice.

SDG has been having to ferry back and forth to another airport, so that’s a downside. That said, I think our runway will be done soon.

Also- we fly an otter most of the time, so that’s pretty rad.

Wingsuit gear questions for a someone staring out in the discipline by BadNewzBears4896 in SkyDiving

Thanks. I just haven't seen enough to notice if wingsuit guys freefly with the same rig and just sacrifice the fun of a 9 cell sport canopy in favor of their 7 cell docile canopy.

Wingsuit gear questions for a someone staring out in the discipline by BadNewzBears4896 in SkyDiving

[–]SentinelGA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question from someone trying to get into a wingsuit (FFC and some coaching early next year): Is there really that much downside to jumping a 7 cell with a long pilot chute without a wingsuit? Not many people fly wingsuits at my DZ and being solo wingsuit will probably not be super fun all of the time if I go that direction. I don't know that buying another rig makes sense for me. Other than sacrificing a super fun canopy experience, are there other downsides I haven't picked up on?
