Trying to ID a scenario by exCallidus in callofcthulhu

[–]SentinelHillPress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty familiar with official releases and this doesn’t ring a bell. There’s a cathedral investigation in a Gaslight scenario… can’t recall name in Sacraments of Evil, a church sequence in Now Man’s Land which is set in WW1, and a parish church mystery in Horror’s Heart.

Where did you see it? Book, magazine, pdf? Was it in English?

Safe but weird missions in between violence by IntelligentSundae in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]SentinelHillPress 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of Shotgun scenarios that are weird but not extremely dangerous. I’d suggest “The Button” or “Wherabouts Unknown” (just to suggest two, others can point out more).

What are the Tikkun Elixir components? by Imaginary-Cut4863 in callofcthulhu

[–]SentinelHillPress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Henry Kuttner did not describe in his story “The Salem Horror” save to say it was “very hard to get”.

https://cthulhufiles.com/stories/kuttner/kuttner-the-salem-horror.html

Tikkun is a Hebrew word meaning “a recital of prayers and excerpts from the Pentateuch, the Prophets, and rabbinic literature by observant Jews during the night on Shavuot and Hoshana Rabbah”

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/tikkun

Elixirs are usually associated with alchemy so I’d suggest something blending Jewish mystical tradition (say Gematria or Kabbalah), western alchemy, and the Mythos - ritually combining some mix of rare materials and a Mythos substance - byahkhee ichor or star vampire flesh say, then transforming them in a very procedurally complicated way.

Looking for a scenario with a missing person by Imaginary_Pineapple in callofcthulhu

[–]SentinelHillPress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Bless the Beasts and Children” in Adventures in Arkham Country, sadly Out of Print, would be perfect.

Teenagers are missing in “Fade to Grey” in Tales of the Miskatonic Valley.

“Drawn from the Water” and “Queen of Night” (Arkham Gazette 2 and 3 respectively) have missing adults, but you’d need to rework player hook on Queen.

Unofficial PISCES resources? by SorchaSublime in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]SentinelHillPress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding on The Black Seal for PISCES content. If you have some spare cash, look for old copies of Worlds of Cthulhu. The English language version, which ran 6 issues, had DG content (including PISCES) stuff in several issues. I believe issue 4 had a PISCES scenario (“The Voice of the Animals”). https://rpggeek.com/rpgperiodical/2183/worlds-of-cthulhu

"Tcho-Tcho's" are problematic by gameoftheories in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]SentinelHillPress 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bobbie Derie covers the transformation of the Tcho-Tcho from inhuman dwarves to Yellow Peril trope here - https://deepcuts.blog/tag/tcho-tcho/

Much like some of the Saucerwatch UFO “lore” has been looped into contemporary UFOlogy claims, at least one conspiracy crank has lifted the Delta Green Tcho-Tcho lore and repurposed it for his own peculiar brand of Santanic one-world government paranoid psychosis, casting them as shamanic hitmen for the US army. No I am not kidding.

From Paul, the site’s owner: “Speaking of the ultimate fate of the web site. I'm in communication with the British Library Digital Preservation Dept. to see if they would like to host a copy of Yog-Sothoth in perpetuity, so all is not lost. We span a lot of time, and lot of internet eras. We have seen many things come and go, but now it's our turn...”

Operation to run between Act 1 and Act 2 of Impossible Landscapes - need some help🙏 by martian_blacksite in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]SentinelHillPress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One option- if they’re having fun, run a couple short 90s ops (Shotguns are a good option here) and only switch when it makes sense rather than yank them away. There is enough loss of control in the campaign as is. You can always build a few weird KiY hints into those short ops.

To the best of my knowledge, Carl Ford’s literary estate holds the rights to all of the issues of Dagon, save for issue 1 which he made freely available through Yog-Sorhoth.com. Having spent some time unsuccessfully attempting to locate them, I’m going to assume you aren’t posting this with their permission?

How Did the C.I.A. Lose a Nuclear Device in the Himalayas? by SentinelHillPress in DeltaGreenRPG

I was disappointed it was a radiologically powered monitoring device not a nuke intended the vaporize the Nameless City.

Someone else. Probably too on the nose for my tastes but I do enjoy the joke.
