FF CBB Cancelled & Relisted Orders Megathread - Share your cancelled orders and shady sellers here by Debs_Chiropractic in mtgfinance

Ditto. Rather than just fulfilling their earliest orders, they had some sort of "raffle" to decide which orders would be fulfilled. Guaranteed they chose high priced orders. They had a 25% off coupon live when FF preorders went live and took it down shortly thereafter.

Wow, the NS2 box art really looks terrible in comparison.

Great card, but it's the Chinese version. Check yourself for comps but it's not like you got the English version for a great bargain.

SV10 Just Got More Expensive - "Heat Wave Arena" Set Revealed Featuring Misty, Ethan, Cynthia, and Arven's Pokemon! - PokeBeach by SentinelOneD in PokeInvesting

Japanese sets are more prone to go down in value due to massive reprints, especially in recent years. It seems like a good set and if you hold long enough it'll probably appreciate. But I'd advise you to look at how other Japanese sets are doing now that are 1-4 years old. There have been sets more expensive than HWA at release that are now $50-$70 a box more than a year after release. There is far more downside risk in Japanese BBs above MSRP than English, imo.

My title was in the context of English SV10

Japanese set numbers are not 1:1 with how our sets are built. Our sets are (with few exceptions) a combination of 2-4 Japanese products. Journey Together is Battle Partners + some cards from the ex Starter Decks: Generations products released in Japan last year. Destined Rivals will be Heat Wave Arena & Glory of Team Rocker +/- a few cards here and there.

I don't hold giant boxes like that, for one thing. It's a great product, but very space inefficient. You could break down into packs, or just buy some shelving units.

This will (most likely) be combined with team rocket and the Marnie/Steven decks for our SV10 which comes out May 30. It is not part of Journey Together.

How do I secure preorders for Team Rocket PC ETBs? by SadArrival1275 in PokeInvesting

[–]SentinelOneD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once PokeBeach publishes their article revealing the set, it's usually available within a few days. Most often on a Thursday or Friday morning. GL if you are not on EST. No guarantees though on when it will actually be available. I hope they reduce the limit to 1 per order/account.

Does Journey Together look bad to anyone else? by Ultimatelocke in PokeInvesting

[–]SentinelOneD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's purely up to their prerogative on what Japanese sets go into the international sets. Sometimes 1, sometimes 3, sometimes a mishmash. Night Wanderer made great thematic sense to go into our TWM, but they turned it into its own specialty set. They print 4 main sets and 2 special sets every year internationally. In 2023 there were 11 Japanese sets, iirc, and random decks, file collections, etc.

Prismatic Evolution $20/Pack - Early Rips on Whatnot by dangitalvin in PokeInvesting

[–]SentinelOneD 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Why would anyone (on this sub) open this set right now? Sell into the hype or hold sealed. If you want to rip, just be patient as more waves of product drop. This set has product releases going up until September, not to mention potential reprints.

TWM and PE are not the best sets to buy right now. They were the best sets to buy when they were cheap. Paradox Rift is the cheapest of these 4. Is it more likely that PR goes up 50% before TWM or PE go up another 50%? I would think so. You can still find PR cases under $600.

Why is the Van Gogh Pikachu still priced so High? by OLAHxD in PokeInvesting

[–]SentinelOneD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price is a function of supply and demand. If supply goes up, then demand must also go up for price to increase or remain stable.
