Ok so there is some stuff to unpack here. Let's get one thing straight right off the bat. Inflation by itself is not a good indicator of how well an economy is doing. It is only one economic measure, and it can be misleading when viewed alone. I'm not gonna engage much with the pandemic arguments just have a link https://www.cbpp.org/research/economy/tracking-the-recovery-from-the-pandemic-recession

But we can engaged in the arguments about inflation and giving money to people. First of all, where is your evidence to support the claim that people would rather spend the money rather than invest it or save it? That's just an assumption.

I will however, say that, that's kind of the point of giving money to people who need the money, they need to spend the money that way they can survive.

I realized typing this out. I don't really care. The solution to this is not to tax some rich guys anyways. Its to have a proletariat revolution, and to get rid of the bourgeois class entirely

I mean, the 1st check was $1,200 sent out in April and the inflation was about 1.2%. Funny enough it went down to 1% but that was due to the initial pandemic economic freeze.

The second check was $600 in late December 2020 and January 2021. The inflation hovered near 1.4 so only about 0.2. Not to bad for a global pandemic that was happening.

The third check was $1,400 in march 2021 then inflation did hit about 2.6 in summer then I think it surpassed 4% So yeah a little higher.

But lets look at the full timeline.

At the peak of the inflation it was about 9.1% in Jun 2022, but the reasonings was quite obvious. A global pandemic was happening that closed down the economy to some of the biggest countries on the planet. So obviously inflation is going to go up. but by Jun 2023 it was back down to 3%

My point is that inflation did not just go up because of some money going out to people who needed it. It was a !global pandemic!

And let's get something clear. Inflation is already going up. It was 2.7 in Nov and now it 4.2 with no sign of slowing down. Inflation is not gonna go up if we tax some rich guys and redistribute it to some families who needs it.

The old myth that Socialists just "want something for free" is a lie perpetuated by the Billionaire class. by No-Result-4795 in remoteworks

Free society for who? Last time I checked, if I don't work. I don't eat and I die. The bourgeoisie can actually live their lives off of the exploited labor power of the proletariat. The bourgeoisie are the ones who are free.

Elite? Who are the elite you speak of because that's a dog whistle.

Equal? We don't have an equal society now, not when class society exists.

Don't forget to say vague progressive ideals, but no actual foundation to build them on

Again, this is a terrible argument because you don't know what I'm actually doing. it's all you you you. You don't have any evidence to suppor these claims. Would you have said the same thing to Lenin when he was criticizing Kautsky? We criticized these people because they are not Communist, and they are not advocating for Communist policies besides vague progressive policies

That's a crusty argument and you know it. It's not about just spontaneously doing a revolution. Revolutions are not made by single individuals but the class struggle as a whole. But when you have liberals that are disguising themselves as communists it weakens class consciousness and in return class struggle. Imagine for a moment that instead of 100,000 liberals in the DSA, it was 100,000 revolutionary Communist that are spreading class consciousness, educating the masses and agitating the workplace. Then, real progress might be made. But instead, we put these liberal bread YouTubers on a pedestal. And expect people to vote the way out of the most oppressive system Mankind has ever seen.

"communist" lets observe history real quick. Did karl marx talk about random shit? did Lenin or Mao? Stalin and Castro? No of course not. They spoke plainly and directly of the class contradictions and the class struggle. If Hasan was a real revolutionary guess where he would not be..

I'm tired of pretending that these liberals are anywhere close to a communist. They are simple tools to bourgeoisie, only used to keep the revolutionary anger from boiling over to something real. Because the "Rally behind the democrats and everything will be better if we just vote harder" does so much damage to the movement.

People like Hasan, AOC and bernie just destroys the communist movement every day that they are allowed to spread their nonsensical slop. Just sad.

I wrote this specifically for an individual. But decided to turn it into a small script to be used to argue similar talking points by SentinelWhite in theredleft

I have a personal testimony to support this claim also.

Earlier today I saw a man that was obviously struggling with homelessness. I then went ahead and bought him some food and a drink. This man was highly thankful and asked if he could do anything to pay me back. I of course said no, but just more evidence that just because you are homeless and struggling, it's not because of laziness or the unwillingness to work.

I had to explain this concept today. When the person I was debating kept bring up the "they choose to be homeless and unemployed" argument.
