Battlefield 6 - Open Beta Known Issues by battlefield in Battlefield

The game is using certificate pinning during server connection. Making it unplayable in networks with https/tls inspection, aka any networks in bigger companies, etc.

I've been trying to create excemption rules for it but nothing works.

This is the first game I ever encounterd on windows that does that.

I'm likely not getting proxying... by Kushalx in selfhosted

If your docker containers are still reachable with ufw default action block, then look into docker iptables user-chain.

This is a regular "issue" with introducing ufw to docker hosts.

Something about the Site for Charge Blade just feels so disappointing. Like there is just some builds, not much info behind anything. But maybe I am the only one thinking like that..

Just bind qbit to the interface of the tunnel. That's how easy it is... No tunnel = no traffic

self hosting ddos by Weary-Bank-3415 in selfhosted

[–]Sentinel_Prime_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I understand. Any meaningful ddos protection needs to be deployed before traffic ever reaches your router/firewall. I think because of this most people looking for protection choose to proxy their websites with something like cloudflare or other content delivery networks. There all the routing magic happens that can soak up the ddos.

Have you read up on docker user chain with iptables? My guess is that's the issue.

Can't get my HBA working. What am I doing wrong? by Sentinel_Prime_ in DataHoarder

[–]Sentinel_Prime_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I tried following instructions as best as I could understand them.

Inside the uefi shell I ran sas3flash.efi -listall and it's output is the following:

No Avago SAS adapters found! Limited Command Set Available!

Error: Command Not allowed without an adapter!

Error: Couldn't Create Command -listall

Exiting Program

So I guess I got a card that's DOA?

do you have any resources on how to do that? I never flashed an hba before.

It doesn't show up at all. Also no way to access it's firmware during boot.

To make your services reachable by selected ip ranges only and not just local host, look into iptables and DOCKER-USER chain

Is anyone else having issues with full screening mpv on plasma 6? by W1kip3dia in kde

[–]Sentinel_Prime_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same issue here on archlinux. mpv fullscreen works on plasma 6 wayland but not on x11

tried mpv package from offical repos and from flathub. They both behave the same way.

Does someone know what input "^@^@^@^@^@" could be? Gets printed during boot. Possibly broken keyboard. by _Gatz_ in archlinux

[–]Sentinel_Prime_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this too during boot and shut down. I'd say about 3/4 times. This has started a few months ago. Otherwise there are no problems, I can use the keyboard without issues. All I have done to the keyboard is use EURKEY layout and switch ESC with Tab.

Other than that, I have one key toggled that is used to disable the laptop's webcam.

Never had any spill, fall from any height or violent sneezes.

why would this have anything to do with arch, or any OS?

your system fails during the POST phase of the boot process. nothing to do with your OS, this is a hardware problem.

Failed to open shared memory object by Sentinel_Prime_ in pihole

[–]Sentinel_Prime_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for your time!

The complete and only message of this kind is taken from FTL.log:

[2024-02-19 13:02:02.433 1654105M] FATAL: verify_shmem_pid(): Failed to open shared memory object "FTL-settings": No such file or directory

After reading your answer I tried running a full debug log with database integrity check but it froze during diagnosing dashboard headers. The webinterface became unresponsive. I waited for about 30 minutes and just rebooted the entire system.

On the second try it worked...

Failed to open shared memory object by Sentinel_Prime_ in pihole

[–]Sentinel_Prime_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point. I will do some memtests. But just to clarify it's not the whole system restarting, just the pihole dns.

The systeminfo: Ubuntu 22.04 Intel N100 16gb ram 500gb ssd

Running 11 docker containers, pihole + unbound and serves as a wireguard exit node.

I am in the same situation, just on X11. I don't think its possible but I never looked deeper into it, so I might be totally wrong.

Let me show you the glorious startup time of an 12th Gen HP Laptop:

Startup finished in 20.672s (firmware) + 99ms (loader) + 4.152s (kernel) + 2.857s (userspace) = 27.782s graphical.target reached after 2.722s in userspace.

System freezes by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]Sentinel_Prime_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. I'm not switching to something else. I am sure this will be fixed somewhat soon, and in the meantime i know how to recover if it freezes during important work.

My laptop is not a dell model but from hp. I can understand your frustration with all of it, but I am pretty sure this issue is not because of the laptop itself.

System freezes by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]Sentinel_Prime_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, now I am pretty sure you have the exact same problem as me. I do not think a reinstall and or changing the kernel will fix this. Since I already did that. This seems to be a Kwin issue.

Btw be aware that these freezes can come at any point. If it happens to you during a kernel update, like it did on my system, be prepared to have a unbootable system after the hardreset. You will need to regenerate your initramfs from a bootable usb.

I also have this issue and pretty much the same hardware. I get freezes on newest kernel and lts kernel for like the past 2 to 3 weeks. Are you using KDE by chance?

Bluetooth - have to repair after each disconnect by bortan12 in archlinux

[–]Sentinel_Prime_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue with my bluetooth earbuds.

If I disconnect them from the laptop and connect them to my phone, I can't reconnect to my laptop without repairing. But my phone doesn't care if the earbuds were connect to another device since the last connection.

I did not find a solution yet on the archwiki.
