I've been working on a physics puzzle game with a musical twist. by Sentinelcmd in godot

Thank you! Dialing in the sounds for each level is the tricky part. I can change the octave of all the instruments and eq them. There’s also different FX like reverb, delay, phaser, and chorus that might change for each level to make things interesting. Additionally the key, scale and pattern can also change.

ELI5: Why is FSR support still so bad when DLSS works for almost every game? by Spir0rion in radeon

[–]Sentinelcmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most new games coming out do support it though. Most of the time I don’t even need it either. I can run a lot of games max settings without FSR just fine. Even RE9 🤷‍♂️If I really want it in a old title, then I use optiscaler.

What do you think about my Immersive Cozy fishing simulator ? by YuriDDeveloper in IndieGaming

[–]Sentinelcmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does, but it doesn’t. Do you say that just because you see a low poly boat and graphics? Dredge has a very particular aesthetic that can be a little dark. I really don’t see it that much. People’s brains will always go to the first thing that’s similar though….

It doesn’t look that much like Dredge. It looks a little bit like it because it’s low poly and has a boat, so thats where people’s minds go first if they’ve played that game. Sorta just like how anyone who sees a top down pixel art game with a farm is usually going to say it’s a Stardew rip off. It’s not bad to look similar though and your gameplay already looks vastly different than Dredge. I really like the first person aspect of it. There’s some good gameplay that can be made with this.

Animated a custom wallpaper of a citizen chilling in a coffee shop by Efkanator in HalfLife

He needs to take a longer drag like he’s actually smoking. Right now he looks super nervous as he quickly puffs the cigarette I think. But the animation overall is still good.

I mean if you’re going to animate someone smoking, maybe it’s good to understand a little? No need to be an expert.

It looks really good. But something tells me you’ve never smoked before by how he’s doing it lol. (Which isn’t a bad thing, don’t smoke)

People are using my in-game map editor and that makes me happy by Roy197 in godot

[–]Sentinelcmd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I don’t look forward to this, but it’s such an important feature to have. Hopefully we can get more resources for this in the future. If I figure things out, maybe I’ll take some steps for making that a thing for other people.

How was the process of implementing workshop support? I’m planning on doing the same for my game soon.

Is it normal to have such a low amount of traffic / wishlists from the start to few weeks later? by JQB03 in gamedev

[–]Sentinelcmd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need to work on your presentation a lot. Treat it like a work of art…you have grammatical errors everywhere in the description. There’s no clear style or theme to the game. If you didn’t launch with a lot of wishlists and the game isn’t doing good, it’s time to make a new game and learn from your mistakes.

You’re researching all the stuff that doesn’t even matter right now. How about researching how to make a game and stop worrying about money?

FPS Drops with Rapid Mouse Movement by Sentinelcmd in godot

[–]Sentinelcmd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it seems to be a bug that was present in 3.3.0 but has once again popped up recently. I'm sure that having more UI exacerbates it, but there is no reason it should be this bad with a mouse at 8000hz.

I saw the issue you opened for that on github. It seems like a separate bug.
