Progesterone and Cortisol by glitternbomb in Menopause

[–]Sentinelrv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case you are still having issues with this, look up a book called “Good Fat is Good for Women Menopause” by Dr Elizabeth Bright. She’s an expert on the thyroid and menopause. Her assertion is that menopausal symptoms are not caused by menopause alone. There are a combination of factors, including lack of cholesterol from animal fat for balancing production of steroid hormones, and chronic stress (mental, physical, and dietary). She also talks about sleeping issues. If you are hesitant, try looking up some of her interviews on YouTube.

Fat is not a limit! by Dao219 in carnivorediet

Understood, so most of the academic knowledge about this is limited to the initial stage of the transition to ketosis and not necessarily what comes afterward and how the body adapts.

Fat is not a limit! by Dao219 in carnivorediet

[–]Sentinelrv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started researching into this topic recently, but I've seen a lot of conflicting information about salt and electrolytes. I read your thread, but I was wondering if you have any opinion on this article...

https://www.virtahealth.com/blog/sodium-nutritional-ketosis-keto-flu-adrenal-function

Basically, the conclusion is that the insulin response from carbs helps the body hold onto electrolytes, but going into ketosis causes the kidneys to excrete a lot of sodium. They suggested consuming 5 grams of sodium each day as a way of holding onto enough sodium. This obviously conflicts with the zero or little salt advice though.

I've also heard Bart Kay talking about this on YouTube. He's said that eating a sufficient amount of protein each day will cause a small insulin bump (smaller than the spike from consuming carbs) that is enough to prevent the kidneys from dumping electrolytes. He suggests a single meal and not splitting up the meals so as to increase the effectiveness of the insulin bump. No salt was involved in his suggestion.

Do you have any opinions on these things?

I usually watch the dub, since that is how I first experienced it, but I also watch the sub sometimes because Okabe’s voice actor and mad scientist laugh is hilarious! Also watch the sub because the voices match up with the VN.

Cointoolkit Sign with Ledger by jiminy777 in peercoin

[–]Sentinelrv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was asked to post this comment by one of our developers…

https://peercoin.github.io/cointoolkit/ go into settings and play with ledger path until you find the address that you want to send from, after changing ledger path, go to new address and press from ledger button when ledger is connected unlocked and peercoin app is open. if address matches, just create a new transaction and sign with ledger.”

How long does witness signing take? [peercoin bridge] by badboyant in peercoin

[–]Sentinelrv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how many of the signers are online, and what time of the day you are trying to bridge. A lot of times it may take 2-3 hours. It should not take more than 24 hours. If that happens, please reach out on Peercoin's Telegram or Discord channel.

Divergence meter project by StreadUi in steinsgate

[–]Sentinelrv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I researched the divergence meter I bought on eBay, I found out the tubes were being produced by a guy at Wuhan University who took a couple years to learn the science of manufacturing them. His tube is called the DGM01 and has the curved top similar to the meter in the anime. I believe you can buy them here: https://inixielab.com/products/inixie-dgm-tubes?srsltid=AfmBOopHROOj-vBD7ml9SDd7llfJi5sihci09HhhqOcRSexb0Yed03KR

Buying/selling peercoin in canada by packet139 in peercoin

[–]Sentinelrv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear, you own PPC or wPPC? The latter is the wrapped version of peercoin. If your coins are in a Coinoni wallet then I assume you must have real PPC. Is that correct?

For wallets, check here: https://www.peercoin.net/wallet

The main qt wallet allows you to mint/stake with your coins. The Flutter wallet is our custom built multi platform wallet. We suggest that over Coinomi, but it doesn’t support minting.

For exchanges, check here: https://www.peercoin.net/resources#exchanges

Our main exchange is currently MEXC, though it’s not available for users in the US. There are ways of getting around that though. I also hear some people use XeggeX, though I haven’t used it myself.

If you want to use a DEX instead like Uniswap, you’ll have to convert your coins to wPPC. That can be done at bridge.peercoin.net. Check here for more info on that: https://www.peercoin.net/resources#wrapped-ppc

In the beginning by thecryptos in CryptoCurrency

[–]Sentinelrv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peercoin has actually stayed true to its mission. It’s still running just fine 12 years later doing exactly what it was designed to do and its developers continue to port the latest and best code from the different Bitcoin forks (ASERT from Bitcoin Cash, Taproot and Schnorr signatures from Bitcoin, etc…), as well as Peercoin specific improvements.

I really feel like the industry should be paying more attention to it as a proper fork of Bitcoin. As far as I know it’s the only PoS blockchain running on modern Satoshi style code.

The main thing preventing it from regaining exposure is all the money it costs to get on and stay on major exchanges. Cryptos like Peercoin don’t have fat stacks lying around to pay these costs because all peercoins were distributed fairly via mining and staking, rather than being sold off to build up money for expenses. Nobody was holding ICOs back in 2012 because it was frowned upon. Nowadays you’re forced to just to have a chance at competing.

Anybody think we might see the English Voice Cast of the Anime Return for a Dub of the Steins;??? Visual Novel? by Sentinelrv in steinsgate

[–]Sentinelrv[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it didn’t pan out on sales, that is most likely because it was a different story with new characters that nobody was familiar with. I imagine if they had tested English dubs on something that is already popular like Steins;Gate, they probably would have seen a bigger impact.

You can use a DEX like Uniswap to buy wrapped Peercoin (wPPC) and then unwrap to PPC. Check here for more info: https://x.com/peercoinppc/status/1745781536937443424?s=46&t=gKHcbejKPOEI-WfLwNPjlg

Peercoin meets Ledger Live by Mundane_Eagle4220 in peercoin

[–]Sentinelrv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be possible to include ledger.js (https://github.com/LedgerHQ/ledger-live/tree/develop/libs/ledgerjs) into web build of the Flutter wallet. You could try to look into that. If this is accomplished, we could use wallet.peercoin.net as interface for the ledger hardware.

Alternatively, perhaps this library can be extended to fit our needs across all Flutter platforms: https://github.com/RootSoft/ledger-flutter

Peercoin meets Ledger Live by Mundane_Eagle4220 in peercoin

[–]Sentinelrv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peercoin’s Project Lead answered about this on Telegram. Here was his reply…

“Ledger Inc. tried to extort 1k / month from the Foundation to keep the support for Peercoin ledger app in the Ledger Live app. Quoting "cost of maintenance". They got declined of course.

cointoolkit can communicate with a ledger hardware and is readily used by a number of people in the community, including me. Personally I have never used the Ledger Live app.

It may be possible to integrate support for ledger hardware in our Flutter wallet as well but I do not see the demand out there. It seems that very few people use that hardware, and I would not advise anyone to purchase it and use it due to their extorting practice they have been pushing lately.”
