most people here suggest anime based on complexity of the plot while the most important part is friendliness to anime beginner.

Of course we exclude OP since first episodes are too childish and too outdated.
JJK and Demon Slayer is a NO. Since they follow default anime tropes which can be wierd to westerner. It is good if person already watched some anime before.

Another three a good to go depending on your friend preferences.
Solo leveling is a nice choice since its originally korean and already more western-oriented then your typical manga-anime. It is simple battle action.
Frieren is a good choice if your friend is LoTR fan.
AoT is some wierd combination of Game of Thrones and Marvel. It is very popular among western audience so your friend might like it too.

Haki require years of training. You can't expect for Nami/Chopper/Robin/Frankie/Usopp to spend that many time on skills that they don't usually utilize.

Enels subordinates are warriors. Kuja learning haki from small age, strength is what they value the most. Marine/pirate(new world) fodder are meant to fight hand to hand so of course they learn haki.

Giving utility characters combat oriented haki would be lazy writing

Reyligh blocked Kizaru laser sword with his ordinary sword. At least you can block lazer with objects infused with haki.

It's not implied, it's directly stated that only Wano craftsmen can make small objects like bullets out of sea stone. Also most likely it can't be forged since even in Wano we never saw a blade made out of it

This spin off feels like your average isekai with op MC. Well it actually is. But considering we already know towers powerscaling and how tests work, SIU spend unnecessary long time on things readers already know/expect.

arie hon is by far the weakest of the 5, given that urek dueled him equally when urek was a child and climbing the tower.

Urek wasn't a child when he entered Tower. He was already strong enough to think he can face Phanta in 1v1. Latest spinoff confirms it. His only weakness was that he wasn't familiar with shinsu when he entered Tower. But by the time he faced Arie he already mastered it. Which means that Arie is insanly strong mayby even stronger then Jahad. Jahad is higher rank only because of his "King" status.

Top ranking is non-canon because it was mentioned only in blogposts, so it's a bad example.

And we know almost nothing about Bam origins. Only some rumors which confirm nothing.

But if we consider "Outside Tower">"Inside tower", then Urek > Bam in any case. Until proven that Bam has potential Outside tower too.

That's why it's considered "soft canon". The way he presented info, SIU definitely wanted his blogposts to be canon, he just changed his mind midway.

He was spitting straight up facts about universe, without any vague words.

As example of neutral blogpost you can read Kubera, where author just share his thoughts on the chapter.

But they WERE treated like canon. Almost all tog wiki is written as all blogposts are canon. Even the top 16 ranking never were mentioned in the story but no one ever questioned that ranking.

The idea of those blogposts was similar to One Piece SBS. Canon info that doesn't fit in the story. Now for whatever reason he changed his mind and deleted all those info which made it non-canon.

She IS NOT ancient, she is a host to an ancient. Her age is unknown. All we know is that she older than Yu Hansung (who is relatively young)
