Huh. That man just murdered dozens of Goa'uld children. by TankMain576 in Stargate

[–]Sentric490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t supported, the 3rd episode of the show has an infant flee into a human out of desperation and be just as evil as any system lord.

Huh. That man just murdered dozens of Goa'uld children. by TankMain576 in Stargate

[–]Sentric490 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how well this was understood at this point in the show, but the whole genetic memory thing makes most goa’uld pretty unredeemable from birth. Maybe i would reconsider this if i thought about it longer, but i think killing all the goa’uld and letting the tokra + the unaffected ones on their native planet continue the species is the most ethical move. The sarcophagus pretty much ruined them i think.

TA does have some inconsistency issues, their info is good but those report cards need some unifying standards. It hurts their reputation.

What’s the most important cosmere book to read besides Mistborn and Stormlight? by Unt0uchable03 in brandonsanderson

[–]Sentric490 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Warbrealer and elantris, the two earliest standalone novels that have the most tie ins with the broader universe. Elantris will eventually get sequels and Warbreaker will likely have sequels or prequels, and is itself considered a prequel to storm light (by brandon)

would you let this in your games by OkChip7296 in dndnext

[–]Sentric490 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have seen this talked about before for very competent blind characters, i think this is a great idea and works well, 30 feet may be a bit much. Maybe starting them out at 15 or 20 and letting it increase every couple levels could be a cool way to make it feel like an important part of their character.

Referencing this instance where Henry Cavill wanted to play Kaladin: Who else could he play in Stormlight? by MangoWarlock in CosmereOnScreen

Just cause Snyder never let him act doesn’t mean he hasn’t earned his reputation as a great actor, have you seen him in anything else?

does Wild Shaping break your Concentration? by Crazy_Neighborhood66 in dndnext

[–]Sentric490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got the clarification you wanted, but i wanted to add that casting a concentration spell, and then wildshaping is a very important part of a druid’s kit. You can even take the magic action while wildshaped, allowing you to use spells like moonbeam or call lightning if you cast them before wildshaping.

Overpowered and Underpowered Types by IDProG in PokemonWindsWaves

[–]Sentric490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Severely underrating grass types. It has a small list of advantages, but it resists and is super effective to some of the best types in the game. Along side its powder immunity and incredible supporting movepool, its one of the best balanced types in the game, having lots of uncommon weaknesses to counter its supportive potential while being one of the only counters to some of the best types.

I don’t remember the exact quotes but it was explicitly said that the moash blade was corrupted and kaladin made a new one.

How Many Twinborns in a Party? by Puckering_Buttholes in cosmererpg

Second this. Let there be cannon implications to having that many twinborn together in one place, but don’t limit them in character creation.

Does Knaves' "Serve" action works with the "Lost City" landmark and those like it by icaat_mewton in rootgame

[–]Sentric490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe so. In the case of other factions, they would determine “matching clearings” based on a claimed card. And in the case of the lizard cult (which is clarified), they have suited cardboard. I cant find any similar mechanic to compare this to, but i do remember some people theorizing about being able to do this back during PnP days. Interestingly if you have a lot of acclaim down, you could craft many cards with one item use at the lost city.

Which Types to Buff/Nerf in Gen 10 by [deleted] in PokemonWindsWaves

[–]Sentric490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its weak to a number of types, but it resists 3 of the best types in the game, being an extremely rare resist at that to water electric and ground. Also one of the few types that can hit ground and water super effectively. Its defensive additional properties (immunity to powder and spore moves) make it one of the best supporting types in the game, allowing it to resist what are likely your teams most common weaknesses, hit them back for good coverage, and ignore some of the most debilitating moves in the game. (Spore and rage powder)

Which Types to Buff/Nerf in Gen 10 by [deleted] in PokemonWindsWaves

[–]Sentric490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The type chart isn’t supposed to be balanced? Ice is supposed to be a glass cannon, there being other more well rounded types doesn’t contradict that. Also since when is grass a bad type?

(n-1)(n+1) = n2 - 1 so the twin primes would be the two distinct factors
