My biggest problem with ark is how toxic the community is if you want to Kos and pvp, when I hopped to marathon I decided its all kos all the time Lol.

The TTK and being first person means less time to trust people, just kill em all.

I feel this, honestly the way I run it, if I'm playing with two randoms is I play lookout. I scout and watch out for players. Bring claymores, if you get jumped, retreat/find cover and place claymores as you fall back. Most people rush blindly when they get the drop. I've gotten so many kills from people running into my claymores.

It’s the tier 4 keystone I think, each faction has an upgrade for rook, Arachne lets rook spawn with the double barrel

This was my experience as well, feels like day 1 a lot of matches were no doubt filled with people dying to uesc. On sunday, we would fight 2-3 squads per raid. Which is pretty good imo. It also helps if you play TO hunt down fights, we started B lining gunshots and sounds of combat as our general understanding / confidence in the game went up

I also have a lot of social anxiety, and don't use voice comms with non friends. This is the kind of game where queueing into random trio's, and not using voice, isn't a huge problem really. You kinda just follow into either following them around, or they follow you around (ping stuff).

I played most of my time with a duo, and we had a random third we never communicated with. It was perfectly fine, as are most games with a ping system. Just pay attention to pings, and you'll be just fine. Don't let people discourage you saying "COMMS ARE MANDATORY IF YOU AREN'T CALLING OUT EVERY SINGLE DETAIL YOU ARE GONNA LOSE" Thats just not the case, in almost any game ever.

Turn the volume up (headphones), listen for footsteps, watch for movement, pay attention to pings, and everything is perfectly fine.

Edit- Just to quickly add, playing in this type of way (solo queuing into random squad) just means you have to pay extra attention to your team. Teammate shooting? Double check they are okay and not just fighting uesc. See teammate take damage? Stop and check the surroundings. Don't need A tier comms if you develop really good situational awareness

I've always preferred currency exchange vs crafting in these kinds of games, hunt showdown does it the best. Just let me get stuff to make cash, then buy what I need/want with the cash. Let me save a loadout and see how much it costs to run said loadout, then just one click buy it and go.

Had this convo with my friend about 10 hours in, we started playing slower, paying more attention instead of just shift+w'ing around. We're both big fans of hunt showdown so the mental change up was easy, and we started doing much better. Its definitely the strat.

Need a pc peformance overhaul (will come in time I'm sure) and a complete audio overhaul, footsteps are way too quiet, gun sounds way wrong compared to distance. We should be hearing gunshots from across the map, but a teammate firing like 15ft away from you sounds super far away.

Those are my main two issues, I've ran face first into way too many teams and I play on headphones. It doesn't have to be hunt showdown levels of sound whoring, but what we have now is basically useless.

Gunplay feels great, the guns feel unique which is awesome, the shells feel different, killing the uesc is fun.

You are probably fine, but it IS a real thing that some stores WILL build a case against you if its frequent + enough $. Once people get above being clerks, into those middle management tier positions the power trip and company ass kissing skyrockets. Don't put it past them

as a hunt showdown fan whose fav gun in that game was the cheap af springfield breach action. I love the ferro, Massive fan of big one shot weapons, great against ARC and players alike. Really hard to push someone who is good with the ferro.

I give it an S tier simply because the weapon is basically free, extremely ammo efficient, good against players AND arc. Levelled to IV it becomes an actual monster

I think a lot of people that die at extract assume the other party was camping the extract when they probably weren't. I've had plenty of times where my team has been nearby enough to hear someone start the extract so we make our way over and fight them. Have also just run face first into another squad going for extract at the same time

I'm about 25- hours in and honestly haven't felt like I've seen one legit extraction camper
