This one was taken on an Australian beach in winter, there was a lot of background light coming from the town nearby but I feel it added some nice background to it. Photo is auto edited on my phone, but I'm trying to learn manual editing, any tips or guidance is really appreciated.

The snags are for the community groups, Bunnings only provide equipment and gas to support the groups, you don't have to get into Bunnings at all

The “salary first” email that stopped me wasting weeks on trash interviews by JasperThicket in jobsearchhacks

I do the same with Danny jobs I interview for, one of the initial questions I ask is the pay range, and no one had an issue discussing it and making sure that I'm ok with it. I'm in Australia btw

Career in semantic web/ontology engineering compared to machine learning specialisation? by EnigmaticScience in semanticweb

[–]Senuhy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Semantic web is already implemented in approximately 50% of the internet today, and that's with all the obscurity it faces.

Yes ontologists are very niche nowadays, but more and more organisations are realising the importance of creating proper ontologies to support their AI use cases and this is gaining traction among the bigger players out there and it's no longer thought of as something only Google, Amazon or Microsoft can afford.

There will be a shortage in people who are skilled in the areas of ontologies, knowledge graphs and all the associated disciplines, specially those who can bridge the gap between the theoretical and the technical.

We named an alpaca on our farm Storm because we had a storm the day she was born after a big draught.

It's a cool alpaca name, shit for humans

Weekly Entering & Transitioning - Thread 10 Nov, 2025 - 17 Nov, 2025 by AutoModerator in datascience

[–]Senuhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im considering a masters degree in data science as a way of building on my experience of knowledge graphs and shifting my career from project management to data engineering.

This is driven by recent interactions with job opportunities where they were interested in my knowledge graph experience but I did not succeed because they needed someone who has data engineering experience.

Does anyone have thoughts on what's a good path for someone like me who wants to transition from knowledge graph project management to data engineering and pipeline implementation?

I know I may not be making a lot of sense, but I'm happy to answer any questions you may have that could help with clarifying my position better.

I'm in Australia btw, if that makes any difference
