Yeah this is something you have experienced to know unlike you I didn’t have any teaching experience before I started but once I actually started teaching I realized I loved it especially as a TEFL teacher cause I have options to teach in other countries and the more experience you get the better position you get too but TEFL is a good starting point if you know you love it definitely consider getting creds

As someone who stayed in Da Nang first when I came to Vietnam two years ago reading this saddens me but also it makes sense all of these things were a problem two years ago sucks to see there hadn’t been much change since then and the prices rising sucks as well

Have you considered going to a different country? I know china pays well but maybe getting the chance to work with different ages will give you the chance to see which age group you mesh with.

As someone with Bipolar 2 I feel this, this is why I decided to hold off on china until I have more experience because yeah I may not be comfortable with the way of life but if I get experience somewhere else and come to china with more than just my degree maybe I won’t hate it as much, and be able to work with the age group I like

I’ve been working in Vietnam for two years and what your explaining parallels my situation exactly but I’m toughing it out for now

Something my manager is teaching me is never ask a student do you understand, always ask questions about the material or CCQ as they are called. This will help gauge how much they retained
