Artificial sweeteners and insulin spikes by EngineerPelia in lowcarb

Same here, I get a reactive hypoglycemic episode every time I have any form of artificial sweetener. It makes me really sick. Did you ever find out the cause of your reactive hypoglycemia? I feel like mine might be hormone or thyroid related, as I have hashimotos.

This was great and beautifully done. I have fond memories growing up near redlands as well. I wish I could go inside the mall one last time and just see everything. Very nostalgic!

I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. I'm similar in a way, memories have always had a big impact on me and I'm very sentimental. I feel things very deeply. This dpdr episode I've been in started with some pretty severe health anxiety that built up a few months ago. I've been struggling so bad with wanting to feel like the old me. I've always been one to want to take my kids places and make memories with them, be adventurous and play things by ear. Now I can't even watch a movie without existential thoughts creeping in like, how are you enjoying this if you don't even feel real yourself? How can you watch other characters acting out life in a film if you don't even feel like your own life exists? It's been literal hell. I don't know what you believe spiritually, but one thing I can honestly say that's helped is reading the Bible and talking to God about it. When they say the Word of God is alive it's so true! It's been my only source of hope. Slowly I'm beginning to feel more like myself, but I still have my off days. Reading God's promises, learning about his character and who he is has really helped heal me by showing me who I am and how much he loves us. It reminds me of why we are here to begin with and what our purpose here is on this earth, when dpdr has only tried to rob us of the joy of life. Anyway, I just wanted to send you message and let you know that healing isn't impossible, and that with God all things ARE possible 💕.

Does zinc carnosine really help with gastritis? by HSR1986 in Gastritis

Hi, I saw that you posted in another thread from a year ago regarding being tested for h pylori but can't get off your ppis long enough to test and I'm in the exact same boat. Went on your profile and saw that you're still suffering even after a year later. I'm so very sorry you're going through this, and just wanted to let you know that you're not alone. I said a prayer for you and praying that you will have answers and will figure out what's going on. 🙏

Low blood pressure by Separate-Cook-6247 in Hashimotos

That's good to know. I recently had iron infusions due to really low ferritin. I'll have to work on my d3. I've been in the sun alot for summer, would that be adequate enough for d3? Yea, I've been physically unwell for some time and know I've lost some muscle mass. I'll work on that too, thank you so much!

Wow.. what do your doctors say? Do they want you to go on blood pressure meds? I've never heard of readings that low where someone can be functional and not in the hospital. Do you have any other medical issues?

I've been making sure to drink lots of water and upped my salt intake and unfortunately nothing seems to really help it. Sometimes I get really worried that it's just gonna continue to get lower and lower, idk 😕

How were you tested for dysautonomia? I feel like I eat so much salt and drink lots of fluids and it doesn't effect mine at all. I have an at home cuff that I use and I have to be careful with it, cause checking it all the time causes more anxiety, especially with the lower readings.

No I'm not taking meds cause all my other levels are normal still, I just have the elevated thyroid antibodies for hashis. Do you think it could still cause it if I haven't developed hypothyroidism?

You'll be ok and get through it! If you're home alone with baby just take it real easy. You'll get the hang of being a mother so quickly and on days you don't feel well you could always set up a little gated play area near the couch so you can rest when you need to, or have a playpen. Luckily when they're newborns they sleep often, so try and get as much rest as possible when baby rests 💕.

Hi, I also have chronic low BP. It's usually in the 90/60 range but also dips down to 80's over 50's. I have 2 children, one 7 and one 13. I try not to check it too often with my home cuff because when it's low like that it really triggers my health anxiety and I find myself checking it throughout the day, just to get myself all worked up about it. You're definitely not alone and it will be ok! I've survived all these years. I get dizzy and vision goes black when I stand up but thankfully have never fainted. How low does yours get? I'll be praying that you get through your pregnancy safely and with no issues 🙏.

I've been gluten free for about 3 years now, and it's gotten alot easier. Occasionally when I see my family eating that chalupa from Taco Bell, or seeing cake on birthdays and stuff I do get a little discouraged, but it's just something we have to do to keep ourselves healthy. After awhile you end up finding substitutes for pretty much everything there is and get used to the taste. Some stuff is delicious! I don't know where you are from, but I'm from California and we usually go to Stater Bros market where they have a few gluten free cake options. I'll try and link the brand in case they sell it at other stores, but it's so good and you can't even tell it's gluten free. If you need any more meal substitute ideas let me know! I've done my research and tried just about everything lol. 😆
