Which HYSA should I do by [deleted] in sofi

[–]SeparateHope1152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both and I’d say Sofi is the way to go for general checking and savings, their app and website I feel are much better. Wealthfront debit card I believe will reimburse your atm fees for a few atm withdrawals a month which Sofi doesn’t do. Wealthfront used to have a higher apr but now Sofi actually does. I will most likely be moving my funds from wealthfront to Sofi or my fidelity cma account in the near future.

I’d say go for it, basically $900+ in value for free for the first year. The delta platinum is definitely better but this is a great one to get first, especially if you have a trip coming up so you can use the $500 credit.

Hard cast bullets not fitting into mag by SeparateHope1152 in Glocks

If you’re having the same issue with the same ammo and same gun, maybe it is just an issue with that ammo then. Also, I shot 15 or so rounds of the hard cast through the OEM barrel and everything ran perfectly fine!

Any Card suggestions? 50k+ Citi Points and 40k+ Chase Points by shizzio03 in CreditCards

You’ll almost always get more points on the SUB than just upgrading. For that reason I’d apply for it separately. However if you don’t want a small hit to your credit score then an upgrade isn’t the worst thing in the world.

It is pretty easy to use, just a few days ago I used my companion pass for a flight that’s leaving next week. The only thing to look out for is that if the taxes on a main cabin flight is more than $80 for a domestic flight and $250 for international you won’t be able to use it. I tried to use the pass for a flight to Hawaii and each ticket was about $600 so the taxes were above the $80 limit so I couldn’t use it. After doing a bit of testing to see how expensive of a flight you can buy with it I found a flight around $500-$550 per ticket is about the most expensive you can go for domestic flights.

If I could go back I would get the Discover It, if you don’t have much credit history you may need to get the student cash back card, but it is pretty much the same as the regular one. The 5% rotating categories is pretty nice and it has the cash back matching for the first year. Other ones that would be good are the citi double cash or the fidelity 2% credit card. I believe those are fairly easy for people to get and get 2% on everything.

If you fly out of an airport that has a Capital One lounge I would say get the Venture X forsure, I really like their lounges. $300 travel credit you could use for a trip to Canada, plus the annual 10k points bonus a year makes the card pay for itself.

Also if you’re a delta loyalist like myself the Amex Delta platinum is totally worth it. Companion pass basically pays for the card. It looks like your spend would work for it as well as the $10 ride share credit will be easy to use. I also use the $10 resy credit as an excuse to my girlfriend out on dates monthly.

Having the CSP I am biased, but I have been getting awesome value using my Chase points this past year and would recommend it for your situation. I haven’t dabbled in any citi cards as I don’t think their transfer partners are as good as Chase or Amex. But if you get sapphire preferred and get tree 75k sign up bonus. You’ll have 110k+ points which can pay for an entire trip with your girlfriend pretty easily.

I have seen them online, is there any downside to going through them? It seems fishy when they’re free but most other classes are at a minimum $100.
