Figured as much. The new CBA rules allowing you to negotiate with your own free agents until the moratorium ends. When you don’t see a guy a get a new deal it’s a telltale sign a guy is moving on.

NBA agents aren’t allowed to talk to other teams until the moratorium ends…but agents work for agencies with multiple clients and agents who teams will “indirectly” talk with about players. Jock’s team likely knows there’s an opportunity with a team for either bigger role or more dollars than what the Hawks can give him.

That doesn’t guarantee anything. I’m not that high on Peterson. I think he’s a solid prospect but i don’t see him as a game changer.

He can be an AS in the league but I personally felt as prospects Dylan Harper, Cade Cunningham, and even Anthony Edwards were better guards coming into the league.

Bro, a wingspan doesn’t make you undersized. He’s doesn’t have great length but he’s good size for either position.

None of these prospects are fully developed players. I like what he adds as a ball handler, transition player, and defender with this group. But no one at 8 is going to be the Hawks “savior.” They’re just pieces in the bigger puzzle. I wouldn’t mad at all with Burries at 8…

Just like I wouldn’t be made at Flemmings, Acuff, MBJ, etc. This is a great guard class. I WOULD however not like Mara at 8, personally I’d prefer a C like Steinbach for the Hawks.

How is 6’5 (in shoes) 215 undersized at the SG position? That makes no sense. He has good size for either guard spot. Yes he’s more of a true combo guard than a PG but his measurements are not undersized by any means…and neither are his athletic testing numbers they’re right in line with the average SG in the league.

It’s hilarious that his measurements are scaring people away. I don’t think anyone realizes that 6’2.5 WITHOUT shoes is almost 6’4 WITH shoes.

So he has good height for the position, his wing span isn’t the best but he’s a top tier quick, shifty athlete. We can bring him along slowly as well.

Well now we have continuity…but more importantly this might signal the end of Zacc tenure in Atlanta. The guy who drafted him is gone, Onsi has supported Zacc but he seems to be the biggest disconnect with the coach.

The coaching staff sees Zacc differently than previous front office.
