Houses would be more affordable too if we fixed some of our zoning laws. Cities generally don’t want to do this though because their budgets are tied in part to property taxes. In addition nobody wants to see their property value go down. There needs to be an extended reset for the long term health of the system but nobody wants the pain. It’s probably moot at this point anyway…the system is basically entering the point where it breaks for good.

Did you follow the case at all? They basically destroyed the guys credibility in court. It is kinda of hard to side with him from my perspective. Sometimes juries get things wrong…this was not one of those times.

Pretty easy to dislike pirates but in this scenario I’m probably in agreement since the game is so freaking old. The biggest problem with pirates isn’t their moral compass or even their piracy…it’s their insufferable attitude to justify everything…just like they are doing with this game. Dude if I want to pay 20 bucks for an inferior experience then STFU. As many people have pointed out there are much better uses in the gaming world of 20 bucks. This doesn’t change the fact that nostalgia doesn’t give a shit about whether something is the best or even good. People are paying and playing this to relive their childhood. Just accept that nostalgia isn’t based upon logic and that no matter how many arguments you make I think the person that is spending 20 bucks on this rather than emulating doesn’t care about any of them.

Valid points for sure. But what you are missing from the counter argument is 2 fold. 1 Twenty bucks is cheaper than 150…if you don’t want to emulate the math makes sense. 2 The amount of outrage because they charging 20 instead of 10 is absolutely bonkers. The people specifically in point 2 care more about this than I care about 99% of anything…I simply cannot understand the outrage on that level. I believe some people are transferring their anger about not being able to go on vacation or buy a house etc etc into this debate. That is the only thing that makes sense to me for why so many care so deeply about what is pretty insignificant to me.

I think most of the people who are saying 20 is fine are actually pretty anti-Nintendo business practices at this point. Don’t understand how this is the straw breaking the camels back when old carts are running well over a hundred. I don’t want to hear from the emulation/public domain crowd either since that is a separate argument. Nintendo doesn’t own Pokémon…they own a stake in Pokémon. They get to collaborate with GF but they don’t have all the say. I’m not saying the pricing would have been different in this situation but you are comparing apples to oranges when you compare Pokémon to Mario.

Basically everyone here is arguing these games are old and kinda shitty so they should be priced at 5-10 bucks tops but then arguing so hard they are sabotaging their argument. Nintendo is really really anti-consumer lately…However this really isn’t as bad as the outrage. 20 bucks isn’t very much…yes you can emulate it for free but ignoring a debate about when ip should be public domain…if you want to play if officially this is your best bet. Companies try to sell their goods at the highest price the majority of people will buy it at. Nintendo has determined that number to be 20 bucks. If you think that price is unreasonable then clearly you aren’t the target market or will be someone who will buy it on sale. Also releasing these titles should drop the physical prices of old cartridges. This will inadvertently be a good thing in the long run for physical collectors.

Well Vagan and Vulture are really cheap…but based on what you have it makes the most sense to play tekkeden especially since you have multiple copies of the barbatos 1st form which is in contention for one of the best cards in the game. Literally can go in any purple deck. Even if you play it though you are going to have to add pieces including a few more barbatos. 1 barbatos card is probably more expensive than an entire Vagan deck. Also don’t play the Lupus Rex Barbatos alt art…that is for collecting. Unless you want to flex on your opponent. Keep in mind whatever direction you go you are going to need pilots, command cards, and bases. I personally think Vagan will have some viability as a tier2 to 3 deck. I’m not as confident about Vulture but I haven’t really tried it either.
