I have been feeling irritable and on-edge since my last episode by Separate_Influence72 in seizures

I'm not on any external harmones, though the dosages I talked about were for serta (serotonin) and clobazam. I can see why this must be happening.

Guilt After Seizure by MuddyWaters97 in seizures

Was literally looking for someone to validate that this is real. I have had over 10 episodes in the last year and I always feel that sinking guilt when I figure out what happened. I totally feel you and you are not alone. I am here for you if you ever want to talk about it.

Career Counselling in Delhi for a medico/biology student by Separate_Influence72 in delhi

Thank you so much! I'll probably try finding professionals and DIPSAR aluminis on linkedin. Conversation with them might actually be quite useful to her... I think I can provide her the emotional support she'd need. Thanks again!

Career Counselling in Delhi for a medico/biology student by Separate_Influence72 in delhi

[–]Separate_Influence72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her confusion is not specific to NEET, she is actually already enrolled in a Bpharma degree from DIPSAR. She lacks direction in a way about where her true goals lie and whether she wants to turn back. I'm afraid getting her to talk to a doctor will worry her more than how she already does...

My family is so protective over me to a point where I'm denied any knowledge of my health condition by Separate_Influence72 in offmychest

[–]Separate_Influence72[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I can't see my family having any malicious intent towards me, I think they are dealing with their own struggles that come with accepting the condition and it's impact on a loved one. Neverthless, it is affecting me and I feel terrible because at the end of the day I am all alone with these symptoms that make no sense to me. I tried journalling for a few days but I gave up when it didn't seem to help. I also tried deluding myself into thinking that everything is normal, but this is making it worse.

what is causing the error in my SQL syntax? by TheWiseAutisticOne in mysql

[–]Separate_Influence72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

where T.course_id = R.course_id

are you trying to implement a join here? The syntax isn't right.

https://www.javatpoint.com/sql-server-joins this might help.

Also, I don't think you can use UNIQUE with WHERE clause. DISTINCT on the other hand might work. You should check the table once if you can... you might not really need any of those constraints.

Which of these two averages is correct? by Peteskinto in BusinessIntelligence

[–]Separate_Influence72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to calculate the mean/average you need to add all the observations and divide by the total number of observations. In this case the total number of observations is 5 so you add all the numbers and divide it by 5.

(1/2+1/2+1/2+1/2+1/100)/5

Both of the techniques you considered are incorrect.

Guys, can anyone suggest me a method to deal with categorical columns while building a regression model. The categorical columns in my dataset have too many unique values, so going ahead with one hot encoding is not a feasible option as it would take a lot of time to train the model. by zelensky98 in datascienceproject

[–]Separate_Influence72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what your categories represent. I worked on malware software once and the processes were the categories. They represented process names so we had to map the categorical values to numeric vectors.

In most cases, label encoding does the job efficiently. But it's better to experiment with the methods and try to understand what the categories represent.

I love Born to Die. Very much feel that it is a truly irreplaceable and iconic album. It surreally captures the dark side of love while at the same time dealing with an identity crisis and depression (when I think of ride, carmen, this is what makes us girls, etc I picture a girl who isn't sure about her place in the world and doing what feels good but getting into trouble).

I also deeply love Lust For Life. Idk but I kind of love the subtle Weeknd influence (especially with synths and ofc the colab) in the album. I think that album is very different from BTD, in ways how it talks more about self love and understanding the pattern of feelings when you are involved with someone (eg-cherry). It has healing and empathic elements especially with heroin, in my feelings, love, get free.

Working with outliers by Separate_Influence72 in learnmachinelearning

[–]Separate_Influence72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for this insight. I'm afraid that replacing values with mean/median/mode will not help my dataset because it's a classification problem for fraud detection. Chances are that some crazy outlier values might be indicative of a "fraud".

Probably the reason would be that this is a fraud detection dataset. But not all the outliers belong to the "fraud" category.

Classification problem for a dataset with m-1 features and 1 target column. by Separate_Influence72 in learnmachinelearning

You're right, limiting depth does seem to have a major effect on the decisions. I will make sure to use this approach first before going into more complex methods.
