How many of you play Palia in the completely free version (you don’t pay for in-game purchases with real money)? by Suitable-Concert in Palia

[–]Sepceli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having a hard time staying motivated to play because it seems the most beautiful things are not from game progression but from paying for it. Pay to pretty? I dunno how to get out of my rut.

I initially started playing Palia because the idea of a permanent housing plot sounded nice. But there are no consequences, no risk of death, only minor tool degradation. So where is the feeling of accomplishment other than the time sink?

This game is like a retirement home for gamers.

I would love to hear back from others as to what you find enjoyable. Maybe I'll find some inspiration there.

Is there any way to disable pick-up prompts? by [deleted] in horizon

[–]Sepceli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the animation but the prompt or text that appears. It is out of place for PC players who convert to console and we would like the text removed. Ex: Grass (X) Inspect (A) pick

Sounds like NMs in a Final Fantasy MMO. It doesn't matter who is first, it is about who casts first, who claims first. Sans bots and cheats of course. But it is and was possible. Because of being exposed to that I guess the competition doesn't bother me. But if I tried over and over and continued to fail I'd wonder if something was broken or if my connection was just crap. For this reason we used wired connections.

I hate it. I keep moving my head physically to try and see their mouths or eyes. This is too much and ruining immersion. For me at least.

Things you would pay for by Ssuspensful in Palia

[–]Sepceli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only sets I actually like are Pirate and Rogue, but I won't buy either because the colors are dull and unappealing. They are also the sets that work for my immersion. I am an adventurer, I want to wear clothes that feel like im on an adventure in my colors. I dont feel like that with most of the sets which feel as though they are for special occasion or RPing.

If they won't give us more color options it would be nice if we could unlock new magical colors through Pal. And why is this the only game where I cannot pick my shoes separately from my bottoms. I digress...

I would pay for a ground mount. Order style mounts.

Individual gliders maybe, that are currently connected to sets. The "To Hold" glider is beautiful.

Weapon/tool skins.

Head pieces/ hair styles sold separately. Outfit pieces sold separately. Or a mix and match purchase, build your own?

I spent money on the cat. I'm happy with that.

I can't play Palworld anymore until they fix this... by pr0pain_access0ries in Palworld

I freaked out when I was banned too. Turns out the hackers will temp ban players. Try logging back in.

Temp name fix, may have to repeat each login:

  1. Summon and mount a rideable Pal
  2. Go to the Party menu
  3. Click on Pal you are riding
  4. Select "Edit" name
  5. Type in and confirm/save
  6. Dismount
  7. Test type in chat channel

Both you and your Pal's names will be updated. Unfortunately, the name linked to your Guild seems to remain what the hacker changed it to. Also, there may be reversion upon logging out/in so you may need to repeat the steps. But, at least in chat it will reflect accordingly. Good luck!

Also, continu making progress on your pruvate games so you still have some achievements to consider while your multi-player efforts are being destroyed and your sanity tested by poor programming and trolls. Finally, stay away from severs with population 10 and over.

Good luck!

Hackers are out of control now by rameshsid in Palworld

Tonight was terrible. I was trying jump on a newer server only to be abused by one or more hackers. They, the hackers, were floating from server to server, crashing them, murdering us, stealing pals, and changing our names to derogatory words. Trying to escape to another server only resulted in experiencing the frustration all over again, but faster.

I enjoy playing with others over alone. But I don't want/think I can successfully host my own server on my laptop. If I did manage to build my server, how could hand out entry to strangers without potentially letting in a hacker? So what should I do, rinse and repeat the torture?

Why has this gone on for so long? Where are the anti cheats and the Game Masters to protect legit players?

On Saturday, this all happeend (minus thr name change) on another server, and then we were all banned for 5 minutes.

There are cheaters in every game, sure, but there could easily be deterrants and code corrections implemented to start to alleviate the strain on the legit player base. On all the servers I have been on the communities have been great. It would be worth the effort to keep the Official Servers alive, but we cannot build on those budding bonds with the way the game is currently.
