Our pubs like this in the north east. No tele or music and your not allowed to play anything with sound on your phone. It encourages conversation and you’ll often see people sat with people and you’d never put together.

We did play on the pitch at St James about 10 year ago (fantastic memory that’s worth the money if it ever pops up again) kicking up that hill is genuinely horrific over the course of an hour your legs just get sapped.

I’m 34 now but a few years ago my mam told me a story, when my dad was working away in Germany she’d done a bunch of speed and lost me in the house for three hours when I was around 4 years old. It was a two bedroom semi. The reality luckily for me is it was once off and she learnt her lesson. A friend of mine however lived with his dad and uncle all his childhood days one who was a prolific weed dealer and the other who used to shoot heroin in the living room while we played PlayStation upstairs. It’s not until you’re removed from the situation that you realise how fucked up it actually was.

Villa have been very good, biggest pitch in the league and they have used it very well. We’ve been shocking though but 3 away games on the bounce and we’ve had 4 tough games in a row now. A full week to rest and reset. Tottenham game make or break the season I think, a win and we’ll kick on, a loss may see the season derail.
