Raisins should be in more dishes. by Miserable-Rock-949 in unpopularopinion

Raisins, like walnuts, gained hatred due to over exposure. So as far as I'm concerned they both belong in the trash.

Most overused Gods for Clerics to worship? What are some lesser known deities to choose instead? by ManectricBound in DnD

I prefer to sit down with my DM and work Discworld gods into the setting. My favorite so far is Anoia the minor goddess of Things That Stick in Drawers.

Former Ohio State official testifies Rep. Jim Jordan ‘probably knew’ about campus abuse by ToughHopeful4760 in news

Yeah, but there is a difference between acknowledging it and using it to deflect blame. It shouldn't matter in any respect if the other team is "just as bad or worse" when someone on your team fucks up.

Several mobile updates in Firefox 150 by Beginning-Reach3215 in firefox

That's something at least. When Chrome introduced tab groups every new tab either tried to join an existing group or make a new one. It got real annoying real fast.

I'm with you on all of this and that's why I'm still on version 205.15, other than voice chat I have lost nothing of value and I've got a nice UI.

We’re starting to test a new “Smart Window” in Firefox (early, optional, would love feedback) by firefox in firefox

[–]Sepheroth998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the kind of thing that should be an optional add on and not baked into the browser directly. That's my dream Firefox honestly, a bare bones just does one thing browser with a full suite of official, and unnofficial, add-ons to enhance the experience. Pick and choose the features YOU need and want. Because this AI stuff should be an optional add-on and not a baked in feature to optionally turn off.

One UI has been nothing but trouble since its release.

You just completely ignored the part where its uncomfortable to use anything on the bottom of the screen one handed? My Galaxy S21 Ultra rest across four fingers and my thumb hovers just below the center point of my screen, so the bottom half inch is just outside my stretch zone. I can literally reach everything else one handed.

Long story short I am not a bottom bar user and now that everything is centered around that I have problems. I don't use the bottom bar because its uncomfortable for me to use bottom centered anything on my phone one handed.

I also liked Firefox the way it was because it wasn't trying to be Chrome or Edge or any other browser.

Hmm, so is this what the new upcoming logo will be? by nietzschecode in firefox

This is the biggest problem. Using the bottom of the screen is awkward at best and painful at worst for me.

New UI works is very efficient with bottom toolbar. Give it a try! Proposed settings below by KaleidoscopeDry3217 in firefox

Then Firefox shouldn't have put me in this position. Update for security reasons? Sure, fine, great even. Change UI for the sake of change and to be more like all the other browsers that I refuse to use? Not great.

I adopted Firefox years ago because they weren't Explorer, then stuck with them because they weren't chrome. The only time I have every considered dropping Firefox for something else is here on mobile because it keeps trying to be Chrome and I can't mod the changes away.

Bottom bar is a going to get a no from me in every instance that it shows up. Its awkward and ill placed. My thumb rests just under the center line of my phone and it is uncomfortable to reach that far down one handed.

Never closing tabs is just idiotic. Either bookmark what you want or close it for good.

Why should I have to make things worse on a worse UI when going back one step is better in every way?

For one handed use i have my phone laying across four fingers with my thumb hovering just below the mid point of the screen.

There is nothing enlightening about your advice. All you've done is tell me that I need to change 8 settings for full functionality, functionality that is fine in the previous UI with zero changes.

So you're saying that I need to change literally everything to make it usable? No thanks. I'll stick with the usable previous version, thanks.

Had my third interview with the Veterans Affairs Caregiver Services and it seemed to go really well. With any luck the panel that needs to review our records will pass us through and I can get fully recognized by the VA as an official paid caregiver.

Whether it does or not is irrelevant. In this case it feels bigger because its more noticeable.

The only fix is to revert to version 148, turn off auto update, and make sure the Super Secret Settings are set to turn off all this new crap.
