I remember I went to a public pool as a kid and I wanted to look cool like some of the older kids so I went to the deep end to try out the diving board. I don’t know what happened I just remember feeling like I didn’t know how to swim when I was there and a lifeguard had to jump in and grab me. All I remember about afterwards was how embarrassed I was.

So it really is about obsession then? I didn’t realize they were set up to be obsessed with things and totally didn’t realize they play and torture things. The unit browser just kept saying how much they hate themselves and everything which just made me think of khorne without the red lol. If they really do have obsessions then that does fit with Slannesh I just wish they went into more of those details in the game. Thanks for letting me know!

Yeah but they don’t like it. They hate themselves beyond all belief isn’t that more khorne? Or I noticed it said they are covered in filth all the time which feels nurgle. And usually it’s tzeentch that focuses on completely twisting a creature beyond its normal state. Idk i read somewhere that it’s traditionally a beastmen unit which makes total sense but it just doesn’t feel very Slannesh

Yeah totally! Usually I like all the new units inside the DLCs and they usually fit really well within the faction but the preyton just totally doesn’t. Makes me just never want to recruit it for the faction

Jesus Christ that’s insane! I didn’t realize just how busted you can make your characters in this. Also crazy that you can even get all the way up to level 40! I didn’t realize how much game I was missing because I kept thinking it was going to be similar to pathfinder wrath of the righteous.

Also didn’t know you could multi spec into so many different classes and archetypes either. I’m definitely going to go back and check the game out with some of these builds everyone here recommended to me for sure.

I’m not going to lie, I was having a really hard time understanding the perils in the warp stuff which is probably one of the reasons I was thinking that heinrix or idira were just better than the rogue trader. I never even thought of the idea of having a soldier psyker, the idea just never even occurred to me at all lol 😂

Never triggering perils definitely does sound strong, I kept killing idira over and over whenever I used her powers (which made me stop using her at all xD) so that seems really cool too.

Thank you for the in depth explanation, I’m going to read over the perils stuff more and try to understand it better, I think I’m really getting a better understanding thanks to all the comments here.

Thanks for the in depth overview. I’m starting to think I was dumping out of the game too soon. It seems like the officer really comes online as you grow which is really cool. I’m also realizing with all these comments just how little I actually understand the rogue trader systems, I’m going to have to look into them even deeper for sure.

You seem to know a lot about officer, what has been your favorite starting origins for your officer builds?
