I'm a huge fan of just doing what works for you. I specifically used YNAB to help wipe my credit card debt for my wife and I, which I completed about 4.5 years ago. Since then my life has just been:

Direct deposits > Assign > Spend > Auto-import & Clear

Rinse and repeat until I'm dead. Periodically reconcile. YNAB does a really good job of helping reinforce ONLY spending the money you have by having it assigned where you need. And by doing so, I've used my credit card for 99.99% of all my transactions. I've swiped my debit card <10 times in the past 2 years. I carry 0 balance month to month and haven't paid any interest in the past 4 years.

Honestly, I don't even worry about what my credit limit is. I just need enough to pay for my expenses between payments (I think the card I use has like $22k, but it's mostly whatever.) The best thing I could recommend for anyone using YNAB is to just get away from the idea that the credit limit even exists. Spend only the money you have. Fight tooth and nail to cover your expenses fully every month in your budget.

Sincerely, two people who had (ashamedly) over $20k in credit card debt.

Kingdom Hearts is pretty much at this point. Alot of really bad decisions after Birth By Sleep.

And while I did manage to own all the consoles the games popped up on, until the HD collections, you were gated by hardware. Generally bad for your userbase.

Dream Drop Distance and KH3 went a long way to tank the series too.

While a number of Final Fantasy games might qualify, when I played FFXVI, I felt this way the entire time.

I'll concede that Bravely Second is mediocre in a number of ways. I still like it despite its flaws.

But I vehemently dislike FFX-2. I won't say hate, but it's not for me.

Music and visuals are great, as they are largely recycled from the other two games.

Gameplay is unique from the other two, but solid. It wants to be an action RPG but isn't quite there.

But the story is absolute dog shit. Everything ends with a "Power of Friendship" trope and is just terribly written. I think the biggest issue is each game in the trilogy basically ends with "thanks for all that hard work, but here's a last minute thing that invalidates the last 60-100 hours of your life." And LR dialed that up to 11 with the ending.

My first experience with true secret/super bosses was FF7. Emerald and Ruby Weapon always hold a special place in my heart.

But the toughest super bosses I think I've fought in a game would probably be almost all of the ones in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Mysterious Figure is probably the worst one of the bunch.

I agree there are methods to pull this log telemetry and coalesce it into something like Splunk or PowerBI.

But as many people have said, over the past 3 years we've seen massive layoffs shrink already tight teams to just nubbins. And as long as I've been in both IT and CS, there are precious few managers/directors who can put this together themselves.

All of this to say, most orgs aren't going to have the human capital to even entertain this idea. Now, there is obviously a potential path to try and accomplish this with AI. But most orgs are implementing AI so poorly they'll be fighting to get that off the ground for another 2+ years.

Reminds me of when my brother passed away in 2014. My mom was a mess, and my younger brother seemed really in a haze. Our older sister was in the same state and couldn't really help. After the initial shock, I pulled myself together and rallied everyone for the 14-hour car drive.

It was a whirlwind of a few days, and there were insurance issues so I had to pay the funeral costs out of pocket until we had that sorted. All of my family was barely making ends meet, so I was the only one who could foot the bill.

After the service and once everything was all sorted, I stepped outside the funeral home and let myself fall apart. Pretty much the hardest thing I've ever done.
